00:00:00Chapter 1
00:00:13Heavens! A real dragon!
00:00:15Hellas Hale already has his own dragon?
00:00:17Just crown him Dragonite and be done with this!
00:00:19The Hale Ancestors must be grinning from their graves!
00:00:29The Jade Dragon. Full growth. Chose it myself for the future Sanctuary Master, Ellis Hale.
00:00:35Docile. Easy to tame. Perfect firstborn. Not top tier, sure.
00:00:39But for a knight who wouldn't set foot in the Sanctuary, a gift beyond his imagination, I'm sure.
00:00:43Now that's the spectacle the future Sanctuary Master deserves.
00:00:48As for that one over there, once Ellis is in the Sanctuary, I'll be his most trusted man.
00:00:56That's it, Ellis! Beat that ungravened trap senseless!
00:00:59Go, Ellis! Show that failure what real talent looks like!
00:01:05Come, worthless brother. Let this whole city see the gap between us.
00:01:14Failure. Cushed out by your own family.
00:01:18Neal!
00:01:23I'm not a failure!
00:01:26I'm Owen!
00:01:27My mother was Liz Manta.
00:01:29I'm her son!
00:01:32Neal!
00:01:34Neal!
00:01:34Neal!
00:01:40Neal!
00:01:52Neal!
00:02:00Today, you both awaken your dragon power. For the Hales, that's everything.

00:03:17I don't know.
00:03:30I don't know.
00:04:09I don't know.
00:04:14It shows you a full level above dragon power.
00:04:29Ha!
00:04:30This kid's a fighter!
00:04:40Kids getting stronger by the day can barely hold him off.
00:04:43If he sees me bleeding, I'm finished.
00:04:46Some Sanctuary Master I'd be.
00:04:48Defeated by my own pupil.
00:05:06You have a letter from home.
00:05:09Take a look.
00:05:11Father's own hat?
00:05:13He remembers me after all. He wants me home.
00:05:18My worthless son home again.
00:05:20Will he really block Ellis' from ill fortune?
00:05:23Make my heir a dragon knight?
00:05:25Of course.
00:05:52I'm going to die.
00:05:56Build some character, earn some scars. Moonlight City's selection is starting. Go enter it.
00:06:02One more thing. That gold mark of yours, don't call on it. Not unless you're dying, hear me?
00:06:07Understood, Master.
00:06:20Wait for me.
00:06:32Let him go.
00:06:33Those two joined at the heap.
00:06:35Silas, your pupil went from powerless nobody to nearly your equal in just ten years.
00:06:40Six rings of the Dragon God's mark. Only a Sanctuary Master's ever awoken that mark.
00:06:45He'll be the next Sanctuary Master, no question. Lucky he's stuck at six rings. One more, my title's his. Terrifying
00:06:52that talent.
00:06:53You're not getting any younger. He's catching up.
00:06:56This is embarrassing.
00:07:13Sanctuary Master.
00:07:14The boys from Moonlight City. Their selection's starting. Send someone to run it. My disciple will pass the selection. Genius
00:07:22or not, he'll walk the path like everyone else.
00:07:25Yes, Sanctuary Master.
00:07:38Sanctuary Master.
00:07:41Sanctuary Master.
00:08:04Look! A dragon knight! A real one!
00:08:07A dragon knight? Here? For the selection?
00:08:11If only I could be a dragon knight.
00:08:14Moonlight City ahead. The future Sanctuary Master's in there somewhere.
00:08:19Ferris, Moonlight City's selection is under your authority.
00:08:22One more thing. The Hale Patriarch's son is my only disciple, the next Sanctuary Master.
00:08:28Get him in, whatever it takes. Don't disappoint me.
00:08:31As you command.
00:08:42Ellis, you're being honored by a dragon knight himself. Looks like you've already won their approval.
00:08:49Don't worry, Father. I'll be selected. I'll become a dragon knight. The Hale family will become the greatest family of
00:08:54Moonlight City.
00:08:55Good, good. That's my boy. The Sir Stare called it. Call Owen home, and the luck rolls in.
00:09:00The Hales! Soon to be the greatest family in Moonlight City! We'll all ride on Ellis' name!
00:09:09Father!
00:09:14Back, huh? Stand over there.
00:09:23Lord Ferris, here in person, to meet Ellis. Finally, a real dragon knight in this family.
00:09:40Lord Ferris came himself. He must approve of you already. I've had the finest armor, finest blade, all prepared. Tomorrow,
00:09:49hold nothing back. Show this city what a Hale air's worth.
00:09:53Don't worry, Father. I'll make you proud.
00:09:57Oh, my little brother Owen's back. So after all those years in Dragon's Hollow, did you learn anything worth mentioning?
00:10:05I sent him up there to get him out of my hair, that's all. What could a backwoods herit possibly
00:10:09know about power?
00:10:11Look at you. Filthy. Ragged. Nothing like a Hale air. Once your brother's a knight, you can be his squire.
00:10:19You should consider it an honor.
00:10:21Father, I... I entered the selection too. Let me prove it. I'm not less than him.
00:10:29Look, not to crush your spirit, kid, but geniuses claw over each other for this. Every single year, only one
00:10:36will be selected to become a dragon knight. You really think you can best your brother?
00:10:43Delusional. Dragging that trash dragon along too.
00:10:54Not trash. It's my partner! My brother!
00:11:11Go, then. I won't stop you. Embarrass the Hales out there, though, when you're no son of mine.
00:11:19And keep that mutt out of sight. Your brother's about to bond with a real dragon.
00:11:25When people see your lizard next to his, they'll laugh us out of the city.
00:11:34Watch from the stands tomorrow, brother. See how a real Hale air becomes a dragon knight.
00:11:41As for you...
00:11:59Dragon Marshal Nemo made it clear. The Sanctuary Master's disciple is from the Hale family.
00:12:05My future master. Better mind my manners.
00:12:11Look! It's Ellis Hale!
00:12:13Heard a dragon knight paid the Hales a personal visit yesterday.
00:12:16Selection hasn't even started and Ellis is already halfway in the door.
00:12:19God, just comparing myself to him hurts.
00:12:22Everyone, today's selection will be splitted in press.
00:12:26Round one. The Dragon's Pressure.
00:12:29Dragon Marshal Lord Ferris' mount unleashes its power.
00:12:32If you are swept away by its presence, you fail.
00:12:35Stay on your feet, you advance.
00:12:50Can't take a little pressure?
00:12:52You'll never bond a dragon. Never become a Dragon Knight!
00:13:07Go away!
00:13:10Come fight!
00:13:11And now you'reones.
00:13:12Start with fire!
00:13:23This armor cost Father of Fortune.
00:13:25I mage Enchantment's defense off the roots.
00:13:27This pressure means nothing.
00:13:29Not bad.
00:13:30Standing firm under Blaze's full pressure.
00:13:33Exceptional.
00:13:34That's the future Sanctuary Master for you.
00:13:41This dragon's huge, but way weaker than Master's.
00:13:45I feel nothing, honestly.
00:13:50Pressure's probably faded by the time it reached that corner.
00:13:53My worthless half-brother sneaking through on a cheap trick.
00:13:57An embarrassment to the Hale name.
00:14:04Wait, isn't that Owen Howe? Why is he still on his feet?
00:14:07Standing. Look where. Cramped in the corner.
00:14:09Pressure probably never touched him.
00:14:11He snuck into round two. Shameless.
00:14:13How'd the Hales end up with that?
00:14:19This isn't fair. He stood so far back.
00:14:22Never felt a thing.
00:14:23That's cheating.
00:14:27Dragging a trash pet dragon with him into the selection?
00:14:30Whoever's kid that is should be embarrassed of them herself.
00:14:33The Hales, I think.
00:14:34How'd the Hales end up with a son like that?
00:14:35Sneaking through like that.
00:14:38Humiliates the Hale name, that's for sure.
00:14:40Come now, Ellis.
00:14:41This is the brother.
00:14:42Spent a decade training in the mountains all just to cheat his way to victory.
00:14:45Ha! He's a master at it, then.
00:14:48Sneaking past a great dragon's pressure like a rat.
00:14:51The Hale family sent sons.
00:14:54The sanctuary master's disciple must be remarkable.
00:14:58Outstanding.
00:14:59It must be Ellis, then.
00:15:01He looks fit to lead the sanctuary.
00:15:04Round two.
00:15:06Combat trials.
00:15:07Simple rules.
00:15:09Draw lots.
00:15:11Pair off.
00:15:12Fight.
00:15:13Win advance.
00:15:13Lose, you're out.
00:15:16Show us what you've got.
00:15:28Number three.
00:15:30Whoever draws you is knocked out for sure.
00:15:32Doesn't matter who.
00:15:34Ellis Hale wins.
00:15:36Easy.
00:15:37Match three.
00:15:38Ellis Hale versus Owen Hale.
00:15:40The Hale brothers drawn against each other?
00:15:42Rough luck.
00:15:43Rough for who?
00:15:44It's bad for Owen.
00:15:45For Ellis, though?
00:15:46Free pass to round three.
00:15:47You're right.
00:15:48Ellis is through for sure.
00:15:50Interesting.
00:15:51Sorry, brother.
00:15:52You walked right into my hands.
00:15:54Don't expect me to show mercy.
00:15:56Sothacer spoke true.
00:15:58Owen's return will bless Ellis.
00:16:00He was never any match for his brother.
00:16:03Go.
00:16:04Make that disgrace forfeit the second he's up there.
00:16:07Don't let Ellis waste his strength on him.
00:16:13Owen, the family head says forfeit now.
00:16:17Don't waste your brother's strength.
00:16:20Forfeit, not a chance.
00:16:31How dare you!
00:16:33That's an order from your father!
00:16:35Father wants a forfeit.
00:16:37Let Alice bow out.
00:16:39I won't.
00:16:40You!
00:16:41Defying your own father!
00:16:44You will regret this!
00:16:54The Sanctuary Master's disciple, no doubt.
00:16:56Majestic.
00:16:57Facing off with the family rejecting his pet lizard.
00:17:01Maybe Blazing's power has a blind spot.
00:17:03Lucky brave, that's right.
00:17:09Forfeit now, brother.
00:17:10There's still time.
00:17:12Blades don't stop the familial bonds.
00:17:15Alice, he was always such a gentleman.
00:17:18He is.
00:17:19Shame his half-brother doesn't know a gift when he sees one.
00:17:32That pet of yours.
00:17:35Cute.
00:17:37None of your business.
00:17:39Round two, match three, begin!
00:17:46You animal!
00:17:48Kneel!
00:17:48Owen!
00:17:50What do you think you're doing?
00:17:51The food in your belly, the clothes off your back, all from me!
00:17:55Ignoring my orders?
00:17:57Raising a fist against your own brother?
00:17:59Your brother's the Hail Air.
00:18:01Moonlight City's genius.
00:18:02Level 8, just five years old.
00:18:04Earned a silver badge at 16.
00:18:06And you?
00:18:06Your mother died because of you.
00:18:08Now you want me dead too?
00:18:10I'm not dead.
00:18:11I'm not dead.
00:18:11I'm dead.
00:18:13A curse on this family.
00:18:15I said all those years ago a baby that killed its mother would spell certain death for its
00:18:20father.
00:18:20Wasn't I right?
00:18:21Such a fine woman, his mother.
00:18:23How'd she give birth to this disgrace?
00:18:26His mother died of shame, I'm telling you!
00:18:29Hayes, calm down.
00:18:30That brat's not worth it.
00:18:31He's just riding Ellis' name for attention.
00:18:34Indulge his tantrum and he'll only get worse.
00:18:37Actions speak louder than words.
00:18:39Call the city guard.
00:18:41Give him a few dozen lashes, he'll fall in line.
00:18:48I just wanted to prove I'm not less than anyone.
00:19:00That's the future Sanctuary Master's father.
00:19:03What am I supposed to say?
00:19:05Watch that tone.
00:19:07I'm your old man and this is how you talk to me?
00:19:10You are worse than an animal.
00:19:12You're an arrogant, conceited guy!
00:19:19Have you ever treated me as your son?
00:19:21You've been very clear.
00:19:23I'm worth less than a hair on Ellis' head to you.
00:19:25At least you throw your hunting dogs a bone.
00:19:27What did I ever get?
00:19:29What kind of father acts the way you do?
00:19:32You?
00:19:33Fine!
00:19:34Fine!
00:19:34Touch one hair on your brother's head,
00:19:36you're done with the Hales.
00:19:38Forever!
00:19:38No son of mine.
00:19:39No name, no family, no roots.
00:19:42You'll be nothing but a stray raised by some nobody in the woods.
00:19:45A stray?
00:19:46A stray dog?
00:19:47The Hales raised a stray dog?
00:19:51So that's why he wouldn't leave the platform.
00:19:53One last grab at glory?
00:19:55Shame.
00:19:55He's about to lose it all instead.
00:19:56Hey, so you want to kick him out?
00:19:58Send him my way.
00:19:59I need a guard dog and he's built for it.
00:20:05Everyone, hear me out.
00:20:07Owen's been trouble since he was a boy,
00:20:09but he's still hailed blood.
00:20:11He only wants to prove himself.
00:20:13I understand that as his brother.
00:20:17Listen to that!
00:20:18That's the bearing of a great house!
00:20:20Ellis, generous to a fault!
00:20:23Destined for greatness!
00:20:25Here's the deal, brother.
00:20:27Walk off this stage, grovel to father, I'll speak for you.
00:20:30Play smart, and this ends easy.
00:20:33Embarrass me, and you're gone for good.
00:20:35There are worse things than death.
00:20:37No one will mourn a stray dog.
00:20:39Then from this moment on,
00:20:41I'll renounce the Hale name!
00:20:46Won't listen, will you?
00:20:48Don't blame me then.
00:20:49Let me show you real despair.
00:20:50Let me show you the dragon Lord Ferris gave me.
00:20:54Chose this dragon myself for the future Sanctuary Master.
00:20:58Maximizes his power right where he's at.
00:21:01Lord Ferris, preparing a dragon for Ellis!
00:21:05The Hales have a dragon knight!
00:21:07A real one!
00:21:11Heaven's a dragon before he's even a knight!
00:21:13Ellis, born lucky!
00:21:14I'm jealous.
00:21:15Wish a dragon knight thought that much of me!
00:21:22Come forth!
00:21:23G-Dragon!
00:21:39Heavens!
00:21:39A real dragon!
00:21:40Ellis Hale already has his own dragon?
00:21:42Just crown him dragon knight and be done with it!
00:21:45The Hale ancestors must be grinning from their graves!
00:21:55A jade dragon.
00:21:56Full grudge.
00:21:57Chose it myself for the future Sanctuary Master, Ellis Hale.
00:22:00Docile.
00:22:01Easy to tame.
00:22:02Perfect first bond.
00:22:03Not top tier, sure.
00:22:05But for a knight who didn't set foot in the Sanctuary,
00:22:06a gift beyond his imagination, I'm sure.
00:22:09Now that's the spectacle.
00:22:10What a future Sanctuary Master deserves.
00:22:14As for that one over there,
00:22:17once Ellis is in the Sanctuary,
00:22:19I'll be his most trusted man.
00:22:22That's it, Ellis!
00:22:23Beat that on Great and Trat senseless!
00:22:25Go, Ellis!
00:22:26Show that failure what real talent looks like!
00:22:30Come, worthless brother.
00:22:32Let this whole city see the gap between us.
00:22:39Failure.
00:22:40Cussed out by your own family.
00:22:43Kneel!
00:22:48I'm not a failure!
00:22:51I'm Owen!
00:22:53My mother was Liz Manta!
00:22:55I'm her son!
00:22:58Kneel!
00:23:04Go,
00:23:34You
00:23:35You both awaken your dragon power. For the Hales, that's everything.
00:23:40Begin!
00:23:43Father, I won't let you down.
00:23:56My god, are my eyes playing tricks? Level eight! Moonlight City's never seen talent like this!
00:24:00Heavens! The boys are prodigying! The Hales have got themselves a true dragon!
00:24:05Owen, your turn.
00:24:08What level do you think the little one pulls off?
00:24:10Can't be bad. Haleblood has never started beneath level. His half-brother just hit eight.
00:24:16The younger's got to be six, seven at least.
00:24:18Right? Maybe he'll even pull off a miracle.
00:24:31Wait, nothing? Not even a spark?
00:24:35How is that even possible?
00:24:37Unless he's not really the Patriarch's son.
00:24:39Shush! Say that again and you're dead.
00:24:40Again!
00:25:08Your father sent you here.
00:25:10As you can see...
00:25:11A human being in the United States...
00:25:11The dragon's hollow. You'll awaken your power or it'll kill you.
00:25:33Lad, blessed with the dragon god's mark at such a young age? Unheard of. It shows you a full level
00:25:38above dragon power.
