00:00In the framework of the centennial Fidel Castro, a delegation from the
00:04revolutionary communist group of the United Kingdom arrived in Cuba, they
00:07visited our studios in Havana to discuss the impact of US measures on the Cuban
00:11people and the significance of the island to the world.
00:15It's quite clear that the US is using Cuba as an example for the rest of the
00:20world of what happens if you go against them. Since the revolution Cuba has
00:27stood up against US imperialism and imperialism across the world, and so
00:34that's why it's being used as an example. And I mean the threats are quite clear to
00:40Cuba, but the implications for the wilder world are a lot more clear. Anybody who
00:45dares to go against US imperialism's hegemony when it comes to the Cuba
00:51line has been threatened, and a lot of them do step back and stop
00:57the internationalist support of Cuba. You know, Canada has just increased its
01:04warnings to travel to Cuba. Our own country, Britain, says that we should not travel to
01:10Cuba. And, you know, even though these weren't Cuba's best friends in the world, they
01:15did supply tourism, they did help the economy, and they're the risks that it poses.
01:22But this does put a demand on us in imperialist countries that we need to come out and support
01:29socialist Cuba more than ever. We need to go on the streets. We need to demand that our
01:34government stop doing the bidding of the US when it comes to Cuba. Cuba provides hope for millions
01:41across the world. All those in oppressed nations, all those currently in Palestine, you know, all of them look to
01:48Cuba as a possible solution.
