00:24in the wake of this seismic event. More than a week after the earthquake, Buenaventura reports
00:29at least 1,150 families lost their homes and about 55,000 affected people, many of whom
00:36remain on the streets due to the risk of building collapses. Those camping on the outskirts of
00:41the city still have not received any kind of government aid to access basic services such
00:47as health care, food and other public services. In addition, residents are warning about the
00:52rapid spread of illness among children due to the lack of adequate conditions and demanding
00:57authorities and medical supplies.
