Future Reference To Tom Cruise & Brian de Palma (Mission Impossible - '96) In The Mummy (1932)?

Predictive easter egg / future references may appear in the 1932 horror film The Mummy to actor Tom Cruise & director Brian de Palma who worked together on the original Mission: Impossible film in 1996. Cruise later starred in a 2017 adaptation of Universal's The Mummy.
- A scene at the 9 minute 42 second mark sees the revival of Imhotep after an archaeology assistant recites the translation of an ancient Egyptian scroll. The Mummy (Karloff) proceeds to take the scroll after scaring the witts out of Norton and a hand print is left on the desk next to some hieroglyphs. I thought this a possible reference to "De Palma": PALM can be a synonym for the inside of a persons hand.

I recently did some videos on 1932 crime film Scarface that may independently point to Tom Cruise and Mission: Impossible. De Palma remade this in 1983 with Al Pacino.

- Cruise also played the lead in Scarface '83 writer Oliver Stone's 1989 anti-war biographical Born On The Fourth Of July.
- Scarface '32 is a collection of the real world exploits of Chicago crime boss Al Capone. At around 47 minutes the infamous St. Valentine's Day Massacre is reproduced. At around 49 minutes 27 seconds Karloff's character, a rival gang lord is hauled in and questioned for the shootings. The man who brings Karloff in I thought may resemble Mission: Impossible TV (1966-1973) actor Peter Graves.
- A sign on a door in the background of the above scene reads "DAY & NIGHT". KNIGHT AND DAY was a 2010 James Mangold action film starring Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz.
- After the rival gang attempts a chase & hit with Tommy guns on Tony Camonte at his mother's home, he arrives at a friendly location and begins to make some phone calls. Around the 1 hour 8 minute mark Tony says word "TOMCAT". This was the name of the F-14 fighter jet airplane piloted by Cruise as Maverick in Top Gun (1986).
