Dearest viewers, today i am going to give some brief explanation on the information that can be found next to the rods and reels in your inventory tab. This information can be crucial in selecting the best rod and reel for catching certain fish in certain lakes. It is to help newbies and free to play players from wasting their hard-earned credits and buying the wrong rods and reels, leading to wrong rod setups and making fishing experience a living nightmare. For instance, you cannot be going to San Joaquin Delta or Selenge River with a moderate power rod such as CreekPro 300 to catch Siberian Taimen or White Sturgeon but you need to purchase at least a Heavy Chaser 310 bottom rod that is classified as X-Heavy under power category with spin reel that is over 30kg to catch a Siberian Taimen or maybe a Catboxer 280 to catch White Sturgeon. Crucial information such as line weight and casting weight will help you to set up an optimal rod set up and have better casting distance. Using proper lines like braid line to prevent less line break when catching heavy fish or flurocarbon line for trout fishing is essential as trouts tend to feel frightened with braid lines compared to flurocarbon lines that is clear of color and will tend to bite the bait less. A reel with high recovery and high ratio can lesses fish escape due to lower line tension while a reel with low ratio provides more power to reel in and catch very heavy fish such as catfish, sturgeons or taimens.

00:04welcome to my channel
00:09dearest viewers today i am going to teach you all on what are descriptions on the fishing rod
00:14and reel are about first the simple bell is about to notify you when fish bites your bait
00:32when you put on the rod stand
00:52next the type refers to the type of fishing rods such as telescopic rods feeder rods match rods
00:58bottom rods carp rods spinning rods and casting rods i will put the details of each type of rods
01:05in my community post as reference length refers to the length of your fishing rod for instance
01:153m is the length of the creek pro 300 feet rod the longer the rod length the further out you
01:21may cast
01:22longer rods cast further
01:35the numerical value behind a rods brand tend to corresponds with the rods length for instance
01:41creek pro 300 indicates 3m of length and cat boxer 280 indicates length of 2.8 m and heavy chaser
01:49310
01:49indicates length of 3.1 m
01:59the casting weight refers to the total weight of all your tackles that your rod can handle this variable
02:06will determine your casting distance an optimal casting weight will indicate better casting distances
02:12and optimal rod setup
02:27line weight refers to the ideal range of line weights that one may utilize with this rod it will determine
02:34what types of reels and lines you need to equip to achieve optimal rod setup
02:57power refers to the backbone of rod how much a rod reflects when reeling a fish in the heavier the
03:03power the heavier the fish a rod can handle

03:28action refers the rod potential to bend and flex back to its original shape as well as where along the
03:34length the rod to bend will occur
03:35slower action rods bend closer to reel, while faster action rods bend further along the rod.
03:46Faster action rods are also more sensitive and good for bottom fishing.
04:07Now, we look at the description of spinning reels.
04:11Type refers to the type of reels, and there are spinning reels and casting reels.
04:28Ratio refers to the gear ratio on a spinning reel, is expressed as a number like 5 to 2
04:33to 1. The first number represents how many times the spool rotates per one complete turn
04:39a handle, while the second number, always 1, represents a handle itself.
04:44For example, a ratio of 5 to 2 to 1 means the spool rotates 5.2 times for every handle
04:51turn.
04:51This ratio is determined by the number of teeth on the drive, gear divided by the number of
04:56teeth on the pinion gear.
04:57High gear ratio, 6 to 1 and above, retrieves line faster, while low gear ratios, around
05:044 to 1 to 5 to 1, provides more torque and slower line retrieval, which is good for deep water
05:10fishing or fishing that requires more power to pull fish out of cover.
05:15Recovery of a reel refers to the total length of line that is reeled in per turn of the handle.
05:33Max drag refers to the greatest amount of drag that this reel is capable of producing, and
05:38thus the heaviest fish that one may expect to land with this particular reel.
05:58Capacity refers to the total length of line that one may fit onto this reel.
06:04Capacity varies by line style.
06:19That's all for today, and I hope this simple explanation will help you in the game.
06:23I will include some extra information on this in my community post later.
06:28Thanks for watching, and hope you all enjoy the video.
