00:05crews struggled to control the blaze in the Deliblazka Paskara Nature Reserve.

00:19As temperatures reached 39 degrees Celsius, strong winds pushed flames towards homes,
00:24forcing the evacuation of a small hamlet of the reserve's edge.
00:30Following the evacuation, Russia sent an Ilyushin water bomber at Belgrade's request for assistance.
00:36The aircraft can carry 42,000 liters of water and was used to deuce parts of the fire.
00:44But Serbia's Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said the situation remained dangerous because
00:48of the sand, heat and extreme temperatures.
00:52The blaze came as heatwave warnings covered much of the Balkans with dozens of fires reported
00:58across the region.
