00:00Australian police have charged a 27-year-old Russian-Australian man with foreign interference
00:05for allegedly seeking to provide Russia with information about Ukrainian military activities.
00:12Police said the man travelled to Russia in October 2024 for military-style training before
00:18returning to Australia and maintaining contact with people he believed were linked to Russian
00:22intelligence.
00:23He then travelled to Ukraine in 2025 where police alleged he joined the Ukraine Armed
00:29Forces and gained access to information about military personnel, units and locations.
00:35A number of electronic devices and various items relevant to the investigation were seized
00:41which will undergo extensive forensic examinations.
