00:00I think at its peak, it was beating like Real Housewives.
00:02The numbers were huge and it was a very rabid fan base.
00:05You could be on E! News or The Insider or a show you were on,
00:08say what you had to say, and then it would be that.
00:10But if someone was mad at you on their couch,
00:12they were mad at you on your couch,
00:13and you'd have to hear from them.
00:14But then the comment section ignites everything.
00:17How, and now I mean, because you guys go viral all the time.
00:20Do you have fun with the comments now?
00:22Did therapy help you just go like, it doesn't matter?
00:24But it's hard to...
00:25Therapy does help you.
00:26And, you know, I got a lot of season on how to deal with negative comments
00:32when I did Love and Hip Hop Reunions.
00:33Because it was that, that fan base does not play.
00:37They're passionate.
00:38They're very passionate.
00:39And it's very, it's probably maybe a little more toxic than Real Housewives.
00:43Like, because it's, people are really, especially at its peak, it was doing,
00:47I think at its peak, it was beating like Real Housewives.
00:50The numbers were huge and it was a very rabid fan base.
00:53And so when I would do these reunions and it would be edited,
00:56people would be upset if their question didn't get answered.
00:58You know, so people would come for you.
01:00They'd send you death threats.
01:01They'd talk about your family that, you know, you post a picture of the blue sky
01:03and they'd be like, and you need to kill yourself.
01:05And you're like, oh my God, like, a question?
01:08Like, so I think that really, it really broke my heart at first,
01:12because I had always felt like I was really loved in the black community.
01:16And so I had never really had a lot of criticism.
01:20Like they, I was always usually in a space where I was writing for us.
01:23And so people were very complimentary.
01:25And so what it taught me when people started to be critical of me
01:29in a place where I felt like I was a darling,
01:31it really, it humbled me, but it also gave me thicker skin.
01:35So I just made the decision.
01:37I'm going to stand 10 toes down in what I believe and what I say.
01:40I said what I said.
01:40And if you don't like me for that, I'm cool with it.
