🗡️🏛️ The Roman Pugio: The Hidden Dagger of the Legionary | 3D Weapon Breakdown

🗡️ The Roman legionary carried more than the famous gladius.

The pugio was a compact Roman military dagger, and archaeological examples reveal surprisingly sophisticated blades, handles and scabbard fittings. The British Museum documents a decorated Roman dagger from Mainz dated AD 1–100, as well as a military dagger from Hod Hill dated around AD 40–60.

In this Empire Echo episode, we use cinematic 3D CGI to take the pugio apart piece by piece—revealing its blade geometry, construction, fittings and place within Roman military equipment.

🏛️ No fantasy weapons. No modern designs. Just archaeology-inspired Roman weapon reconstruction + cinematic CGI storytelling.
