00:00So the big story from the Yankees this week was not just the Giancarlo Stanton injury but they
00:05ended up suffering two injuries to their starting rotation. The first is Max Freed who Aaron Boone
00:11says they just wanted to basically give a breather to and it sounds like they want to get him ready
00:16for the postseason and so they're giving him a couple of weeks off. I'm a little skeptical but
00:21I do feel like okay you know maybe there's something to this as Freed will probably start
00:26I would guess a postseason game three for them but the bigger question has to be Ryan Weathers
00:31on Saturday leaving his start with a forearm issue. Weathers has had Tom as you know so many injury
00:37issues over the course of his career. This is the healthiest he's ever been and now I think you got
00:42to wonder there look when you have a forearm thing you're getting an MRI so as we're doing the show
00:46here on Sunday we don't know the result of that so I don't want to speculate but that to me
00:52is a big
00:53regular season issue for the Yankees. I think Freed is the bigger postseason issue they got to have
00:59Freed back for that. Right and I would say the same look the silver lining is this Rodone just came
01:06back
01:06they have pitching depth like Brian Yarbrough and Paul Blackburn these guys have started games like
01:13they could give you length if needed in a bullpen type game regular season wise once you get to the
01:19postseason it's going to be Schlittler it's going to be Cole Rodone and if Freed's back that's where
01:25you'd be looking. Will Warren I don't think is going to be a postseason starter but again a player
01:29that can give you length so I think they'll be fine. The Freed one is the quote-unquote more important
01:34one.
