00:31missing this unicorn that Shohei Ohtani is. I understand it. I would tell you that I believe
00:37fatigue is involved in this, too, of just giving Ohtani the award every year, which is nonsense to
00:41me. So fine. Go ahead. Give PCA the award. If I was a voter, I'd vote for Ohtani every year,

00:50that he pitches and he hits. Now, to use a qualifier here, if Shohei Ohtani only pitches
00:5520 innings in a season, okay, fine. I would not do that. But the guy is still going to end

01:00a lot of innings this season relative to, you know, a closer or a relief pitcher in baseball.
01:06And if that guy was a hitter, too, and hitting 30 home runs, I don't know. I feel like we're
01:10missing something here. But fine. Give PCA the award. I'll live with it. Yeah, this is a situation
01:17where people are going to make the argument solely for the side that they want. And then
01:23therefore, they're going to pull the stats that, you know, essentially confirm that. It's going to
01:29be confirmation by it. She's going to be like, okay, PCA, he leads the league in war. He should
01:33be MVP. It's like, well, Ohtani, he's been pitching. So this is just one of those arguments
01:37that I don't like in any sport because there's no answer until we get it. And once we get the
01:42award,
01:44then people are going to be, you know, backtracking, saying the same thing happened with Judge and Cal
01:47Raleigh last year. It's like, oh, Cal Raleigh does this. And he's also a catcher. It's like, well,
01:51Judge has an OPS that's higher than anyone. And Cal Raleigh strikes out a million times. So
01:56therefore, it should be Judge or therefore, it should be Cal Raleigh. The same thing is going
01:59to be happening. I think coming into the season, my answer was Ohtani, Ohtani, Ohtani, just because
02:04he's going to be pitching and hitting. He's never going to pitch 180 or 200 innings. But even if he
02:08pitches
02:08something close to 100, he's doing that while also hitting. He's going to be the MVP.
02:13The PCA argument, I completely understand. If he ends up winning it, I'm not going to be
02:17surprised. I do think it'll be somewhat of the fatigue as well.

02:28baseball doing what Ohtani is doing and not winning the MVP. I mean, it seems crazy to me,
02:34but this is what happens in sports. We get tired of giving the same guy awards, I guess, every year.
