00:27Last summer, we went to the World War Games.
00:30We won five gold medals.

00:53Kai Tai is a small town in New Zealand.

01:02And so when I heard about the World Choir Games,
01:05I thought, you know, what an awesome opportunity.
01:09We can't turn it into a Mexican wave.
01:11I think the first goal is that we can hopefully all sing in tune together.
01:19Young People's Chorus of New York City is a youth chorus for children
01:23that come from every walk of life.
01:26We do about 120 concerts a year.
01:29The pressure's high.
01:33When you prepare for something this big, you go through a transformation.
01:37We live in the South Bronx.
01:40There's nothing that gets worse than the South Bronx.
01:42Our choir, I only know us to be pretty famous locally.
01:47I'm not doing too well at school.
01:49How many times have we had this conversation?

01:54I remember thinking, gosh, this kid is a cocky little.

02:24To see how alike we all are just speaks to the power of music.
