00:17While scattered villages have been found from this time, Semiarka was different.

00:23It had long earthworks, enclosed dwellings, and a central monumental building, possibly
00:28used for rituals or governance.
00:30Study author Dan Lawrence said,
00:32The scale and structure of Semiarka are unlike anything else we've seen in the step zone.
00:37Semiarka had an industrial zone for making copper and tin bronze.
00:41The City of Seven Ravines was likely known for its metal production.
00:44It may have been a center of trade and a regional power.
