IndyCar makes its Washington debut to roaring fans

"I'm excited about it all. The speed, the people, everything," a fan from New Jersey tells Agence France-Presse as IndyCar makes its debut in Washington, DC, drawing a roaring, family-friendly crowd and capping celebrations marking America's 250th birthday. "We're just really excited to be here. It's a historic event," says another fan, who drove from Indiana with her family.
