लगातार दर्द को नजरअंदाज करने के बजाय उसकी वजह जानना जरूरी है. ऐसे में बिना सलाह पेनकिलर लेने से बचें और विशेषज्ञ से जांच कराएं.

00:03So, first of all, I would like to tell you that the three days of this workshop is from our
00:11pain specialists and the lead Dr. Babita Khai.
00:16He has planned this whole program and his name is very unique in pro neuromod,
00:23which is called Interventional Pain Procedures and Neuromodulation.
00:27So, you can understand how much pain has changed.
00:33In this meeting, these people have made a program.
00:38They all show how to assess pain.
00:42Pain is the patient's life of a patient.
00:47How to evaluate the pain?
00:50How to evaluate the treatment plan?
00:54This treatment plan is made as a doctor in his OPD.
00:59He sees how many days of this patient's pain, how much pain is going through the sleep,
01:03how to eat, how to eat, how to eat, how to eat, how to eat, how to eat, how to
01:08eat and eat.
01:08And with that, the pain specialists are made as a pain specialist.
01:15And after that, the patient will give them a trial of medicines, along with some other education material.
01:25Like how to cope up with this pain?
01:26and if all treatment measures
01:29don't give relief to patients
01:32they have other options
01:33so it's a very big spectrum
01:36a pain
01:37which you think
01:38that you can't do anything
01:40you talk about headache
01:42you talk about low back
01:42you talk about ghtnokke
01:44you talk about face
01:47which you listen to
01:48pain
01:49you talk about
01:51so now
01:51there is a very dedicated
01:56system and they are very passionate
01:59about it
01:59and this is not the first conference
02:01that Dr. Babita Ghai
02:02and his colleagues
02:03they do routinely
02:05every year
02:06year after year
02:07and their friends
02:09who are a pain specialist
02:12not only from Chandigarh
02:15and India
02:16but also from abroad
02:17because it's a very well developed
02:19speciality now
02:20so we want to tell
02:22that if any patient
02:34they have the choice to come to
02:37these centers
02:38which are offering
02:39a huge range of
02:41treatment options
02:42starting right from
02:44basically listening to their stories
02:45to telling them
02:46how to modify
02:47by utilizing some
02:49coping up
02:50mechanisms
02:51and if they fail
02:52then they have simple
02:53medicines
02:54and if they fail
02:55then they have simple injections
02:56and if they fail
02:58then they have some
02:58very advanced injections
03:00and there are certain
03:01very very advanced injections
03:02which
03:03they put in the spinal cord
03:26so they identify those trigger points
03:29using radiology machines
03:31so radiology
03:33it has become a part of
03:36pain physician's domain
03:37they use very complicated gadgetry
03:39like fluoroscopy machines
03:41ultrasound machines
03:42and advanced interventional pumps
03:45so I would say
03:46that this is a very upcoming branch
03:48and I really applaud
03:49the speakers
03:51and the dignitaries
03:53who have come
03:53and supported the program
03:55led by the pain medicine team
03:57of PGI Chandigarh
03:58under the leadership
03:59of Dr. Babita Ghai
04:01Dr. Jitinder Parmakar
04:02and Dr. Nithika Goyal
04:04so with this
04:05I think
04:06thank you very much
04:08interventions
04:09both ultrasound guided
04:11fluoroscopically guided
04:12with x-rays
04:13and advanced therapies
04:14like neuromodulation
04:15these can benefit
04:16the whole spectrum
04:17of patients
04:18patients who are
04:19just starting
04:20on their chronic pain journey
04:21have simple chronic pain issues
04:23to patients
04:24who have multiple surgeries
04:25complex chronic pain issues
04:27all of what we go through
04:29in this workshop
04:30has applications
04:31to each of these patients
04:32and it's democratization
04:33of the knowledge
04:34involved as well
04:35since India is so big
04:36and there are definitely
04:38not enough pain
04:38spread the right sizing
04:40of procedures
04:42of treatment
04:42to patients who need it
04:44we can recognize better
04:45what patients will benefit
04:46from what procedures
04:47like when we do
04:49we do not treat patients
04:50with pain in the middle
04:51for treatments
04:52or pain
04:53you know
04:53shooting down the legs
04:54so the treatments are different
04:55and being
04:56once we are able
04:57to treat these patients
04:58better
04:58we will find naturally
04:59a higher success
05:00in Singapore
05:01and we're trained in Canada
05:03there's a wide variety
05:04of instruments
05:05wide variety of manufacturers
05:06but I think we don't focus
05:08so much on the instruments
05:09but more on the procedures
05:10and more on the diagnosis
05:12so the first step
05:13is to get an accurate diagnosis
05:14and what you know
05:15previously we talked about
05:16just back pain
05:17right now we understand
05:18it'll be more of axial pain
05:20radicular from
05:21filled back surgery syndrome
05:22to now we have
05:23what we call
05:23persistent spinal pain syndrome
05:25type 1 type 2
05:26so these labels
05:27are not just labels
05:28but these are more
05:29accurate representations
05:30of the diagnosis
05:31and from there
05:32we can tailor our treatment
05:33better to it
05:34so the old treatments
05:36may not have had
05:37that great success rates
05:38maybe 1 in 3
05:39so the next step
