ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಕುರಿತಾದ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತೆ ಮುನ್ನೆಲೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ಚಿರಾಗ್ ಪಾಸ್ವಾನ್ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಬ್ಯಾಟಿಂಗ್ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾರ ಒತ್ತಾಯಕ್ಕೂ ಮಣಿದು ಮೀಸಲಾತಿಯನ್ನು ರದ್ದುಪಡಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ದಾನವಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಹಕ್ಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನಾಕಾರರಿಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Amid renewed debate over reservation in the country, Union Minister Chirag Paswan has strongly backed the reservation system. He said reservation cannot be abolished under anyone’s pressure and stressed that it is not a favour being given to anyone, but a right guaranteed by the Constitution. His remarks come as discussions over reservation once again gain political momentum.
