00:03intuitive machines recently made history being the first private firm to ever put a lander on the
00:09moon it also set a new record for the furthest south landing one that was able to establish
00:13communications with mission controllers on earth however the whole thing did not go off without a
00:18hitch as not only was there a guidance issue that had to be quick fixed in mission but the
00:23lander landed like this on its side still experts say that everything is operating as it should and
00:28its mission will continue now the lander is sending back images from the lunar surface these are not
00:34only some of the first pictures that odysseus has snapped in the first days after its touchdown but
00:39other spacecraft have also snapped photos of the historic craft from afar showing where it came to
00:44rest odysseus stands some 13 feet tall and will continue sending back data from the little studied
00:49area from which it now resides this is all part of a nasa funded mission to further explore the moon
00:54ahead of the upcoming artemis missions those will see humans board a spacecraft headed for the lunar
00:59surface for the first time in over 50 years hoping to set up a moon base as an eventual jumping
