00:23Greetings, comrades.
00:24I'm here in the Chinese capital, where yesterday, August 24, the President Xi Jinping received
00:31the Jordan's king, Abdullah II, on its final day of a state visit that began on August 18.
00:39The Jordanian monarch returned to Jordan this Tuesday today amid the genocide in Gaza perpetrated
00:47by the Zionist entity, which has left more than 73,400 Palestinians dead since October
00:562023.
00:58The Palestinian issue was at the center of the talks, where Xi Jinping said that the Palestinian
01:04issue is at the core of the Middle East issue and put forward four principles for advancing
01:12policy toward a solution.
01:14The first one, a political solution based on negotiations and the two-state solution.
01:21The second one, the Palestinians themselves govern Palestine, both in Gaza and the West Bank.
01:29The third one, protecting civilians and ensuring access for the humanitarian aid.
01:35And the fourth and last one, upholding justice and respect for international law.
01:43China and Jordan reaffirmed their support for an independent and sovereign Palestinian state,
01:50based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, as well as Palestine's admission

02:03Both countries called for consolidating the ceasefire in Gaza and ensuring the entry of humanitarian
02:11aid, while Israel's offensive against the Palestinian territory continues.
02:18The joint statement also addressed tensions between the United States and Iran, where Beijing
02:25and Yemen called for maintaining the ceasefire, resolving differences throughout dialogue and
02:31restoring normal navigation through the state, the Strait of Hormuz.
02:36China thus reaffirms its support for the Palestinian people's right to an independent and sovereign
