00:02Hello. Hi, A.D. I'm Kristen Cavallari. Welcome to Nashville. Come on in.
00:15The thing that's so great about Nashville, I love it out here because it's really quiet. It's really peaceful.
00:21There's a real sense of community. It's really nice because I've sort of curated my life, like my career,
00:27to fit on my schedule. And it's just kind of mom life at this house.
00:31It's a really good entertaining house. The kids now all want to be here with the pool, the basketball court.
00:36There's a lot for them to do, which I love. I love being the house that everyone wants to come
00:39to.
00:40I worked with April Tomlin on this house. This is actually the fourth house that she's done of mine.
00:45So I just completely trust her vision. The kitchen is definitely the place that gets the most activity,
00:50starting from essentially the second I wake up. I didn't do any like crazy prep.
00:54Obviously, I knew you guys were coming, but this is typically what my fridge looks like.
00:58Just it's always stocked because I've got three kids and these kids eat a ton of food.
01:02Oh, and by the way, I want to give the entire crew cucumbers, you guys.
01:05I have so many cucumbers and zucchini and green beans and all the things.
01:09So I'm constantly trying to get rid of it because anyone with a garden knows you have so much produce.
01:14I put maple syrup in my coffee and it's so good. And I'm telling you, once you do this, you
01:20guys, you will not go back.
01:21I can show you the freezer behind you, too, if you want.
01:24I'm obviously going to open it like a normal human, but you can also just like push on it and
01:27it opens.
01:28It's kind of fun. To me, this is actually sort of organized.
01:31These fries. Oh, see. And this is my favorite thing about kids.
01:35Just always garbage in the freezer. They leave like empty boxes. I'm like, cool, guys.
01:41If you're hungover and you put this on your head, it's supposed to help with a hangover.
01:46It really does work. Or just a headache. I guess you don't have to be hungover to use it.
01:50I am a very messy cook, but I am really good about cleaning up after myself.
01:56But you won't find me cleaning up anything off the fork. That's what my dogs are for.
02:00If I didn't have dogs, it would be really bad, but they're like my little vacuum cleaners.
02:10Okay, here are the doggies. They're being very calm for you guys. This is Teddy. He's almost three.
02:16And then here's Quinn. She's four. She was swimming in the pool.
02:19You can tell she's wet and so she's tired. She's been working hard today.
02:22I love them so much. They're a lot of fun.
02:25You want to know why I have dark couches? It's because of these two animals.
02:29Is that your spot? I know it's your spot. I know. I know. Huh, buddy?
02:34We will watch TV up here from time to time. My boys love baseball, so we'll watch Cubs games.
02:40I'll sometimes sit over here and read. But yeah, it's really not that active of a room.
02:51I love this room so much. So this is like your typical TV room, whatever you want to call it.
02:57But I love it because it's dark. And actually this furniture is all from my old house.
03:01The only thing I had to get was this big. What do you even call these? Like a console?
03:04What do you, what are these called? I don't know. Credenza.
03:07Credenza. That's the word. Credenza. It's a big ass credenza. Yeah.
03:12These drawers might be kind of interesting. We love, they're messy guys. No judgment. Okay.
03:18We love games. Um, so like we play a lot of UNO. We have Battleship. We have Old Maid.
03:25I am such a puzzle freak. I love, I love, love, love puzzles.
03:31Oh wait, here. I'll show you one of my favorites. You guys, you guys.
03:35I love puzzles like this. I love really hard ones. Or like this was one of my favorites that I've
03:40ever done too.
03:42Look at that. I love these. I love a puzzle.
03:45Okay. And then over here, these are books that I've read that I love.
03:48I just read Verity, Colleen Hoover. I'm excited they're making that into a movie.
03:53Is that a slinky? This was a slinky. You're just gonna...
03:58This is not mine. Yes, just, you never know what you'll find in these drawers.
04:03And then what's over here? I was really into sound baths for a while.
04:09I used to make my kids, like this is probably like four or five years ago.
04:13I would make them come and sit down and I would do sound baths for them.
04:16And they'd be like, Ma, I don't want to do this.
04:18But I swear to God, it calmed them. And I would do it before they would go to bed.
04:21And they would fall asleep instantly. So, I don't know. I think there's something to it. Just saying.
04:31This is my oldest room, but I'm going to tell you guys, the last house I had, I had April
04:35Tomlin do their rooms.
04:37So cute. All of my kids and my boys did not care for it.
04:41So, when we moved into this house, I said, okay, fine. I'm not putting any money into it.
04:45You guys can order stuff on Amazon and do it however you want, which is exactly what's happened.
04:49So, I just want to preface. And he knew you guys were coming and he didn't even make his bed.
04:53So, here's where we've landed. Like, Jersey on the floor.
04:58I will tell you though, it's actually better than it usually is.
05:01Same thing in Jackson's room. Not much to see, but you know, just so you have an idea.
05:07Yup, here we are.
05:09These could be dangerous. I will tell you the fact that they have doors that go right outside when they
05:14become 16.
05:15Might not be a good thing.
05:19Here is Sailor's room. Just don't look at all the holes on the walls, okay?
05:24It's very girly and feminine. She's 10. I just think it's so cute.
05:29A few stains on the rug, so, you know, but hey, here we are.
05:33I don't think I've ever seen it this clean, actually, you guys.
05:35So, I really appreciate you being here so that Sailor had to clean her room, huh?
05:45This is my bedroom. Come on in. Most of this furniture is actually from my last house.
05:51When I moved into this house, I didn't want to buy all new furniture because I had moved into a
05:55house just a couple years before and I bought all new furniture at that one.
05:59Okay, this is an eye mask. A big-ass eye mask. It is supposed to help with, like, wrinkles on
06:05your face if you sleep smushed because it's so thick.
06:08I don't know. It usually ends up just in my bed when I try to wear it.
06:11You guys are going to make fun of me. I don't care.
06:13I saw this on TikTok. This is supposed to help with chest wrinkles, you guys. If you have boobs, you
06:18get it.
06:19So, it, like, goes in between your boobs and it's supposed to prevent, like, these little wrinkles on your chest.
06:25I don't know. It's like I get all into this stuff and then they're really uncomfortable and I hate sleeping
06:29with that shit.
06:30But here we are, guys. Here we are. Okay. Anyways.
06:38This is my bathroom and this is the one area in the house that I actually did do some work
06:44on.
06:44So, when I bought the house, the wall stopped right here.
06:47I knocked out the wall, added the bathtub because there was no bathtub in the whole house, which is not
06:53the end of the world, but I do like an occasional bath.
06:55Okay, I really didn't change things for you guys because I want you to see how I really live.
06:59No organization whatsoever, even as far down as the fact that my deodorant is split in two.
07:06And, yes, this is a deodorant that you rub in with your fingers, but it works, you guys.
07:11It's the only natural deodorant that actually works. It's called AKT.
07:14Maybe they can work on the packaging. I don't know, but I make my own face oil.
07:20These are three different oils that I make together and it's supposed to be really good for wrinkles and fine
07:26lines.
07:26I swear by it. It's really hydrating.
07:35You come in here. This is the closet. There was a wall right here and I just knew that this
07:40was not going to be enough space for me.
07:42So, we knocked out this entire wall.
07:45Because I have Uncommon James and I design jewelry, a lot of people always want to know how I store
07:49my jewelry.
07:50And again, you guys, this is one place I really wish it was a little more organized.
07:55Well, I guess it's not horrible, right? It could be better.
07:58So, no, I am taking tips on how to store jewelry. Laguna Beach fans would appreciate this.
08:04We recreated my Laguna Beach black choker this past spring when we did the Laguna Beach reunion.
08:10You guys love a black choker. So do I.
08:13When I joined the Hills, I presented at the VMAs and I wore this dress.
08:18When I tell you this is the only thing that I have from like anything that I did in my
08:2320s and even early 30s, this is the only thing.
08:27And I wore this to present to give an award to Britney Spears who was actually not there and I
08:33was devastated.
08:33I'll never get over that.
08:35When I lived in LA, never in a million years did I think I would own not only cowboy boots
08:40but multiple pairs.
08:41I've got a couple cowboy boots up here. These black ones. These are actually from a photo shoot but I
08:47kept them because I loved them.
08:49But yeah, never in a million years did I think I would have all these cowboy boots.
08:55So this is a barn that we have turned into a half basketball court and it actually has a volleyball
09:01net as well.
09:02But my poor daughter almost never gets her net up because the boys dominate this space.
09:06The kids, the one thing that they really wanted to have was the Nike logo.
09:10That was like the one thing that they really cared about.
09:12The only other thing we added was the TV which I definitely need to get some sort of a cover
09:16for because I'm always scared that a basketball is just going to completely damage that TV.
09:20It has become a hangout like when the kids have friends over especially the boys will come out here and
09:25just kind of hang on the beanbags and do God knows what.
09:28I've got my sweet spot right here is corner shot.
09:32Alright come on baby. Oh no! Oh it was so close though.
09:37Oh shoot that was way off. Does not work well under pressure.
09:42Come on! You guys we might be here all day. I'm already sweating.
09:48That's that.
09:54This is the space that's used probably the most out of anything at my house.
09:58This is the hot tub. I don't think people really realize that at first because it's so massive.
10:04But it's kind of fun. You could have a party just in the hot tub if you wanted to.
10:07You can usually find me on either the white one that's in the pool or the one right behind it.
10:14Those are typically where I'm at trying to get my tan on.
10:17I think that's what's so great about living in Tennessee also is just how much space you can have.
10:22You don't get this in LA that's for sure.
10:24And so honestly I'm thankful every single day for this because it just keeps me grounded.
10:29And it's just really nice to have a quiet place.
10:39I picked everything and so there's a lot happening.
10:42We've basically got every herb, ton of tomatoes.
10:45This is actually really exciting because my first butternut squash I just signed.
10:50There's okra. There's edamame over here.
10:53My first strawberries are coming up which makes me so happy.
10:57There's onions. Got a watermelon coming up.
11:01This is the beginning of a watermelon.
11:03It makes me so happy.
11:05I love that stuff.
11:07Back here is my chicken coop.
11:09And there are no chickens in it currently because this outside area just got done like maybe two months ago.
11:16I'm gonna get a ton of chickens. They will be in there. They'll be very happy.
11:19And I love having chickens.
11:21I've had them before.
11:22I actually find them to be relatively easy.
11:25And they're just nice to have around.
11:27I love them.
11:28I miss them.
11:36This is the podcast studio.
11:38And what is so awesome is that I can come in here and just turn that button on and...
11:45Oh wait. There we go.
11:47All of the lights come on.
11:49And then I can just press record on my camera, sit down, and it is an easy little system.
11:54So this is my spot.
11:55This is where I always go.
11:57And Teddy, you like to film podcasts with me sometimes, don't you?
12:00Come on up here.
12:01Yeah, you like to film with me sometimes.
12:03I know. Come on up here, buddy.
12:04Yep, okay.
12:06I know. You're a little big. You're bigger than you think you are.
12:09I wanted a place where people felt comfortable and I think being comfortable means cozy and safe.
12:13I definitely think it feels like that in here.
12:16Having my podcast studio at home is a dream.
12:17I never take this stuff for granted.
12:19You obviously have to control the light, so it was important to black out all of the windows.
12:24And I did all of this myself.
12:26It's like the shittiest job on the planet, but I did it, okay?
12:29And what I did was you can get this stuff on Amazon and it's supposed to stick to the window,
12:34but it kept falling.
12:35So then I just got black duct tape and I was taping it all.
12:38And I mean, it's like, look, it's falling up there.
12:40It's a mess, but I did do that.
12:42I did my very first podcast tour last spring.
12:45That was the scariest thing I've ever done because I've actually had a fear of public speaking.
12:49And so going out and speaking in front of thousands of people every night when it's just my words,
12:53the show that I planned, that was really scary.
12:55So that was a really proud moment for me in my life.
12:58Yeah.
13:08I really am thankful that I have a gym at my house because I live in the middle of nowhere.
13:14So this makes it really convenient.
13:15I don't want to see one person when I'm working out.
13:18I want to blast my music.
13:19I hate a workout class.
13:21I hate being on someone else's schedule.
13:22I want to come in here, zone out, do whatever the hell I want and not have to talk to
13:26anybody for an hour.
13:27This is great for stretching your calves.
13:30And if you just get on here and you just go like this, I love it.
13:34It feels amazing.
13:35This is the sauna.
13:36Here we can.
13:37So when I do the sauna, I also do red light.
13:40Turn it on and there's red light in it, which is great.
13:44So for me, I like killing two birds with one stone.
13:46So this is when you can do your red light therapy and your sauna, which is great.
14:07All right, you guys, thank you so much for hanging.
14:09This was a lot of fun, but I'm going to go prep dinner and go get comfortable.
14:13So I'll see you later.
14:14Bye.
14:17Come on, buddy.
14:18Come on, buddy.
14:20Bye.
14:20Bye.
14:22Bye.
14:24Bye.
14:25Bye.
