A fresh political clash has emerged between Jamaat-e-Islami and Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah over the ongoing protests against the petroleum levy.

Jamaat-e-Islami has strongly responded to Rana Sanaullah’s criticism of its sit-ins, claiming that protests are being held in three major cities against the petroleum levy and government spending.

The party says its protest is not against any individual and will continue until its demands are addressed. Jamaat-e-Islami has also warned of increasing public pressure if the petroleum levy is not withdrawn.

On the other hand, Rana Sanaullah has criticised the protest, claiming that Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in has been rejected by the public and should be ended.

Watch the complete report for the latest political developments and both sides’ positions.
