00:00with Rochelle for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thank you, Nisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. Let's get right to the details of your
00:08weather. Let's begin with what happened today, an outflow boundary from weakening thunderstorms
00:14southeast of Trinidad move across the island, bringing brief rainfall, wind gusts of 50
00:19kilometers per hour and elevated low-level winds in its wake as it moved northwest across Trinidad.
00:26Now, falling trees have been reported in Clifton Hill. A roof was blown off in Palaseco and
00:32power dips were reported across parts of southern and central Trinidad. While no alerts, watches
00:38or warnings are in effect for Trinidad and Tobago, an active tropical wave is forecasted across
00:44the area on Wednesday, bringing the ITCZ across Trinidad and Tobago from this evening. Now,
00:51let's see what we can look forward to tonight. Tonight will be initially fair and then it
00:56will become increasingly cloudy as the night progresses, with heavy showers likely from
01:01pre-dawn. Minimum temperatures are expected at 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
01:07And if you're begging for a day without the heat, then tomorrow might just be that day,
01:13as an active tropical wave is expected. So according to the Met Office, cloudy periods
01:18with rainfall or varying intensities are expected, but it will be interrupted by settled intervals.
01:25There's a chance of thunderstorm activity. Now, conditions will become more settled by evening.
01:32Remember, gusty winds are likely and straight or flash flooding may occur in areas so prone.
01:38Daytime temperatures will reach up to 32 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago.
01:42And I have some good news about our dust levels tomorrow. A mild concentration of Saharan dust
01:47is expected, but still, take the necessary precautions if you have to. Now, if you have
01:53errands to make and hoping for little to no rain for the next couple of days, well, that's not
01:58happening, especially on Thursday. With verbally cloudy conditions, with scattered showers expected.
02:04But on Friday, hot and sunny conditions are also expected, but it will be interrupted by
02:09parking cloudy spells with showers. It's our sun times now. In Trinidad, sunrises at 5.56 and 5.52
02:16in Tobago and sunset at 6.19 in Trinidad and 6.17 in Tobago. And if the heat have you
02:23craving
02:23the beach, go ahead, take a swim. Seas will be moderated waves, 1.5 meters to 2 meters in open
02:30waters and up to 1 meter in shelter areas. It's now time for your tight times.
02:44Now, here's what's happening in the Atlantic. An area of low pressure known as 96L is being
02:52monitored several hundred miles southeast of the Cabo varied islands. This system has a high
02:58chance of developing into a tropical depression over the next few days. And if it strengthens into
03:04a tropical storm, it will be named Dolly. It is moving generally westward, but it remains too
03:11early to determine its eventual impacts on the Lesser Antilles, including Trinidad and Tobago.
03:16And of course, we will keep you guys updated. Well, that's all for weather tonight. Tomorrow,
03:21TKR will play against the St. Lucia Kings. Sachin, I hope our viewers were scanning those codes.
03:28Surely were over 150 entrants per night, which is equivalent to 2,000 fans so far participating
03:36in the QR code, folks. So well done to you. And of course, you can expect a cricket party
03:40as the CPL marches.
