00:14A.J. Brown, slow start to camp, and then since then has been on fire by far and away the

00:19the most targets from Drake May, Romeo Dobbs right behind him.
00:22So the guys you don't want to hear in the other list of like, okay, who's disappointed?
00:26They're not there.
00:27They've looked really good.
00:30Defensively, it's a little bit more of a mixed bag, but I start to like things from a guy
00:36who now suddenly is important in playing in the preseason, like Kendall Vildor.
00:39It was a journeyman, kind of been on six teams or however many years,
00:43and he's got a near pick in the preseason game, had two near picks yesterday.
00:47So as everyone goes, where's Gonzalez?
00:49And then who's going to back him up?
00:50Because Carlton Davis will get hurt.
00:51Kendall Vildor's impressed me.
00:53I also look at the receivers and go, you want to see it from Kyle Williams.
00:57It just hasn't been there, but Efton Chisholm's been consistent,
01:00and Pop Douglas earlier in camp, like he always is, unnamed member of the Patriots
01:04beat called him Mr. August because he's just killing it in like these seven-on-sevens
01:08and open space.
01:09They've been there.
01:10So there's no one like throughout camp, even A.J. Brown, that maybe Drake May's answer
01:15is dominated, but of course he would.
01:17Those guys in spurts, though, and especially at the end, I take note of.
01:20Like Vildor should make the team.
01:21I don't know if I would have said that two, three weeks ago.

01:24Is there anyone that you expected more out of?
01:27Caleb Lomo?
01:29I just don't think he looks ready for regular season action.
01:33And you can see the traits.
01:34He's playing a new position at right tackle, and they're toggling in between both because
01:38they wanted to be their swing tackle.
01:40You take a guy in the first round, he should be able to play as a rookie.
01:43I just don't see it right now.
01:45And he's a younger player who I think for good reason was a six or seven tackle off
01:52the board, but I'm glad they haven't put him at guard as dire as that need has been
01:56because I just think he needs a lot more reps.
01:59And some of them, even like the one-on-ones that we chart and we bring news and I write
02:02these big long recaps, okay, it's one day, it's one drill.
02:05But it starts to add up with some of these losses being like, whoa.
02:08You know, like if you put me in a pickup game down the street, I'm going to get crossed
02:12over pretty bad.
02:13And they're going to be like, don't pass the glasses over here.
02:17That's kind of what I see with Lomo.
02:18It's just like, man, that was rough.
02:20So he looks like legitimately bad.
02:23I can't, I'm not going to say legitimately bad, but his losses are loud in those drills.
02:28And sometimes even in, you know, he gives up a sack, not picking up a stunt at the end
02:32of the first half against the Eagles.

02:34They got a good defensive front, but I just, it wasn't good.
