00:00All right, there's our tropical wave in the tropical Atlantic off the west coast of Florida.
00:05That's the wave to watch over the next week or so.
00:09In the short term, it's going to be moving into an area that will be favorable for development.
00:15So this could become a tropical depression or tropical storm as we head toward the middle and latter half of
00:21this week.
00:22However, late this week and early next week, it'll start getting into that yellow area where we not only have
00:28dry, dusty air, but stronger wind shear that will cause this system to lose wind intensity.
00:35And it will also cause the structure of the system to weaken as well.
00:40And that's when we have the fork in the road early next week.
00:43Where does this system go?
00:44It could be pulled northward.
00:46And if it gets pulled northward, it'll stay away from the United States.
00:50There won't be any impact.
00:51However, it could remain weak and then it would move into the southwest Atlantic in a weakened state.
00:59However, by the middle part of next week, if it gets into that area near the Bahamas, there's warm water,
01:05low wind shear and plenty of moisture.
01:07Now, it would have to start from scratch and start the organization process all over again.
01:12But conditions there are favorable.
01:14So we're going to keep an eye on this.
01:16The rule here is you track systems till they dissipate or move over land.
01:20But if this gets into the southwest Atlantic and could reorganize, then we could have a problem from Florida toward
01:28the Carolinas late next week.
01:30We'll watch it.
01:31We'll watch it.
