The Real Reason V Was Cast in Hwarang  When BTS V was cast as Hansung in the K-drama Hwarang, many assumed his fame played the biggest role. But the story behind his casting was very different.  The director was searching for something difficult to find—an actor who could naturally portray Hansung’s innocent, playful, and pure personality. After seeing V and meeting him for the first time, the director reportedly felt that Kim Taehyung’s real-life personality perfectly matched what he had imagined for the character.  Rather than focusing only on acting experience, the director trusted his instinct and chose V for the natural charm and innocence he brought as a person.  In the end, it wasn’t simply BTS V who was chosen for Hansung. It was Kim Taehyung—the person behind the superstar.
