New GTA 6 Extended Look Gameplay Leaks
Transcript
00:00GTA 6's extended look gameplay reveal trailer is officially one of the most
00:04anticipated trailers in gaming history now that it was confirmed going to be
00:08premiering on Netflix which will be the first time ever that Netflix host a
00:13gaming trailer reveal and we just got brand new information from Strauss
00:17Zelnick himself the CEO of Take-Two Interactive who gave us tons of new
00:21insight as to what to expect with the upcoming extended look trailer we have
00:25all the information you guys need about the gameplay mechanics and features it
00:29will be revealing the length of the trailer and much much more so make sure
00:32to stick around until the very end so first things first here is what is
00:36officially confirmed Netflix members get an early look at the hotly anticipated
00:40game on August 27th at 3 p.m. Eastern but if you don't have Netflix you do not have
00:45to panic the video will later be posted on Rockstar's own YouTube channel at 9
00:49p.m. Eastern that same day which is a full six-hour head start for Netflix
00:53subscribers before the rest of the world gets it for free for everyone outside
00:57of the US here's the breakdown UK viewers get the footage first at 8 p.m. BST on
01:02Netflix with the free YouTube release landing at 2 a.m. BST on August 28th so
01:07depending on where you live you might genuinely be able to watch this live at
01:113 in the morning if you're desperate enough which I know most of you guys
01:14probably will be now here's the part that's actually sparking backlash this
01:18is a timed Netflix exclusive and a chunk of the community is not happy about it some
01:23fans are calling it a new level of greed to lock a gameplay trailer behind a
01:27Netflix subscription even temporarily Rockstar clearly doesn't see it that
01:31way and honestly once you hear why Strauss Zelnick says they did this it
01:35might change how you look at it and we have all the information that you guys
01:39need to know from Strauss Zelnick right now this is the juiciest part of
01:42everything that we found doing a deep dive and it comes straight from the take
01:46two CEO Strauss Zelnick himself we're in an interview with Bloomberg reporter
01:50Jason Schreer one of the most trusted names in gaming journalism published
01:54August 7th Jason asked Zelnick point-blank why Rockstar partnered with
01:59Netflix instead of just uploading it themselves and Strauss Zelnick replied
02:02saying the extended look on August 27th will feel like watching a Netflix show he
02:07went further saying there's reasoning behind this I think when the title is
02:11launched on Netflix if you watch it you'll understand more and this is a
02:14massive hint because it suggests this isn't going to be a quick two minute cut
02:18of explosions and car chases it sounds like Rockstar built something closer to
02:22a documentary style presentation or a mission walkthrough with narrative
02:26structure something that actually benefits from being watched start to
02:30finish on a streaming platform rather than looped on YouTube in 15 second
02:34clips that's also probably the real and non-financial reason Netflix makes
02:38sense here and Zelnick all but confirm that's exactly how he's framing it and in a
02:43separate call following take twos investor meeting Strauss Zelnick teased
02:47something even bigger about the marketing campaign as a whole he compared the
02:50Netflix event to a fancy dinner saying the GTA 6 Netflix event is one of the
02:55horse divorce there are appetizers a main course and a dessert to follow so
03:00basically a translation for that is August 27th is not the finale it's just the
03:04first course there is more potentially a lot more coming between now and the
03:08November 19th watch and if you were hoping this is the only trailer we get
03:12before release that quote should tell you otherwise he also called it a flat out
03:17must-see event and a conversation reported through gaming industry dot biz
03:21without giving specifics but pair that with pre-order numbers that he described
03:25as unprecedented vastly surpassing the company's internal forecast and it's
03:30clear that take-two knows they have the biggest entertainment reveal of the
03:33year in their hands so what are we actually going to see in the GTA 6
03:38extended look this is where it gets interesting because the runtime leaks
03:41and the gameplay leaks are lining up with each other in a way that feels too
03:45consistent to just be a random coincidence first is the runtime according to
03:49Netflix's own customer support when a fan directly asked how long the
03:54extended look would be the Netflix bot responded the showcase will last
03:58approximately 20 minutes and this lines up almost exactly with a leak from back in
04:02June where GTA content creator dark viper a you claimed a source told him the
04:08next trailer would be 20 minutes long and that if it's 20 minutes it's going to be
04:11a gameplay video insider Nate the hate also independently described the next
04:16reveal is offering a quote-on-quote meaningful look at the game itself then
04:20just to complicate things reddit users spotted what looked like a glitch in the
04:24Netflix app suggesting the runtime could actually be closer to 30 minutes
04:28nothing is official confirms that number so take it with a grain of salt but
04:32between 20 and 30 minutes either way this is shaping up to be the longest most
04:36substantial piece of GTA 6 media that we have gotten so far and for context the
04:41first two trailers combined don't even come close to that it's like three
04:44minutes and a half if you combine both trailers so trailer 3 being 20 to 30
04:48minutes is a giant jump forward and that actually matters because up until now
04:53both previous trailers leaned heavily cinematic with a very few actual gameplay
04:58moments and fans have been begging for real unscripted gameplay ever since if this
05:03is really 20 plus minutes gameplay isn't just likely at that length there's
05:06basically a guarantee that we are finally seeing a real gameplay and not just
05:10cinematic scenes the leading theory floating around right now is that rock
05:14star walks us through an entire mission from the story start to finish which
05:19would explain the show comparison Zelnik made because a full mission has
05:23pacing structure dialogue and stakes and that's a story not just a highlight reel
05:28and now we can talk about some of the things that are most likely not going to
05:31be included and this is coming directly from Jason Schreer who directly said some
05:36of the things that we won't see and according to his reporting Rockstar is
05:39not planning to talk about GTA 6's online component anytime soon so don't
05:44expect GTA online details a final DLC announcement or anything about the
05:48multiplayer side of the game during this Netflix event it's also extremely unlikely
05:53that we get a PC release date since Rockstar has a long history of launching PC
05:57ports at least one full year after the console release Jason Schreer also gave
06:02some insight into the strategy behind all this he believes the goal of this
06:06marketing push is to reach a non gaming audience with casual viewers who know
06:10about GTA 6 but weren't necessarily buying it day one which is exactly why
06:15Netflix a platform with hundreds of millions of non gamers makes sense to use
06:20as the launch pad for the GTA 6 extended look and alongside the announcement
06:24Rockstar also dropped new character artwork of Jason and Lucia and fans
06:28immediately zoomed in on one detail Jason is shown wearing a Leonita shirt
06:32featuring a manatee riding a surfboard that single image has already sparked a
06:36wave of speculation that surfing could be a playable mechanic in GTA 6
06:41something the series has genuinely never had before so take that as
06:45pure theory for now but it's exactly the kind of tiny detail that Rockstar loves
06:48hiding in plain sight especially with these teasers and artwork that they're
06:52putting out for trailer reveals so let's zoom out real quick this drops 13
06:56years after GTA 5. GTA 6 has been in development that entire time and the game
07:01is still locked in for a November 19th 2026 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox
07:06Series X slash S with PC expected in 2027 or potentially later pre-orders are
07:12already live priced at $80 for the standard edition and 100 for the ultimate
07:16edition so here's where that leaves us August 27th we get somewhere between 20
07:21and 30 minutes of new GTA 6 content described by the CEO himself as something
07:26that will genuinely feel like a Netflix show rather than a trailer it's very
07:29likely our first real extended look at actual gameplay after two trailers that
07:34were almost entirely cinematic and according to Zelnik this isn't even the
07:37main event it's just the appetizer for a marketing campaign that's going to keep
07:41escalating all the way until launch if you don't want to miss the breakdown the
07:44second this thing drops make sure you guys are subscribed with notifications
07:47turned on and make sure to drop a like on this video if you enjoyed but that is
07:51all the confirmed and new information we have about the GTA 6 extended look
07:55coming directly from CEO Strauss Zelnik Jason Schreier and a lot of other
07:59insiders in at the gaming community if you guys have any thoughts or theories let us
08:03know down to the comments below but thank you for watching and we'll see you in the
08:06next one take it easy my friends
