Heroic Bystander Captures Moment of Assisting Police During Blaze on Portobello Street

Jude recorded a video of his courageous efforts to support the police in managing a significant fire incident on Portobello Street as they awaited the arrival of the fire brigade. In an interview with WooGlobe, he recounted, "I was in an Uber heading home from a night out in Edinburgh when we noticed a large fire that was rapidly spreading up a wooden door. My Uber driver exited the vehicle to try to remove some fabric from the fire's path. As the situation escalated, I dialed 999. The police arrived promptly, and alongside my driver and two other bystanders, I began knocking on doors. I assisted the officers in evacuating residents from the adjacent flat to the burning structure. Fortunately, there were no individuals directly above the now raging inferno. Ten minutes after we cleared the area, firefighters arrived and extinguished the flames."
