00:13selfie spot for tourists around the world.
00:16It's just like a wall of like heat
00:18that you just like hit you.
00:21Standing at 134 feet tall,
00:23this landmark commemorates the hottest
00:25temperature recorded on Earth so far.

00:31back in 1913. Our car's
00:34not liking it too much and now we're headed back.
00:35She struggles when she, when we hit the heat.
00:38Danny Thompson had to pull over
00:39and let air out of her front tires
00:41on her road trip back home to
00:43Minnesota. The air inside tires
00:46often expands during heat
00:48waves. My front tires were hitting
00:5040 PSI and it needs to be about
00:5135 so I was lowering a little bit so they don't
00:54pop. Out in the sun,
00:55the AccuWeather real feel high temperature
00:57can soar to 115 degrees
00:59or higher by noon.
01:02Some surfaces can get downright dangerous.

01:09clocking in above 180 degrees.

01:14fingers, toes and paws
01:16can be burned in a matter of seconds.
01:18It's gonna be tough to find someplace

01:25This intense heat has sidelined
01:27the road trip plans. When we were getting
01:30ready to camp, it was 80 degrees
01:32at 10 30 at night and so I just
01:34knew that she was like,
01:36please no. So I ended up getting a hotel.
01:38So this is my first time in all the road
01:40trips I've done from California to
01:42Colorado or vice versa that I've had
01:44to pay to stay somewhere but the heat
01:45has just been crazy. Just drink a lot
01:47of water. A reminder for campers
01:49and travelers to plan ahead
01:51and check the forecast before
01:53hitting the road in Baker, California.
