00:00What were you most satisfied with?
00:02The goals, probably, in the end.
00:04But I thought we played well.
00:06Again, I thought we had some good moments, some good football.
00:11Probably didn't create enough at the end of it,
00:14especially in the first half, I thought.
00:17But generally, I thought we'd done pretty well with the ball tonight.
00:30I think he said he was working with somebody in the summer back home
00:34who tried to change his mindset a little bit.
00:37I think he found it really difficult last year,
00:40which it does for a lot of boys coming in on the first year from overseas.
00:45I think it's even worse if you're a centre-forward
00:47because you've got a lot of big decisions to make.
00:51Generally, he's been much better since he came back.
00:55I still think I like more.
00:56If you think of the one or two opportunities he had and he didn't score,
01:00I'm nearly annoyed that he didn't do those ones as well.
01:04I know he got three goals,
01:05but he got a couple of them really laid on his plate.
01:09I wanted to let him score the other ones as well.
01:12Paul?
01:13How did you enjoy being back in the whole occasion?
01:16Really good.
01:17Really good.
01:17I loved being back because I was part of seeing the stadium get built
01:21from the first part right up the whole way.
01:25The whole development at that time of Preston was really good.
01:29The club was in a real forward momentum at the time.
01:34I want Preston to do well.
01:36I think they're one of the clubs in this area.
01:39I always look at all the clubs, whether it be Wigan or Blackpool,
01:42teams around this area, Burnley for example,
01:45have all had times in the Premier League.
01:47Preston have never got there.
01:49I hope sometime before I go that there's a period where Preston
01:53can get a chance to be back in the Premier League.
01:59Done.
01:59Just ask one more.
02:00That's all right.
02:01Just James Garner, obviously.
02:02Yeah.
02:03I don't know how useful it is for him.
02:06Yeah.
02:07Well, Jimmy we've pushed on.
02:09Jimmy's done really well.
02:10He's come back quickly from his hernia operation.
02:12So we've pushed him on quite quickly.
02:14And he was required tonight because we didn't have Hayden.
02:19So we're just hoping that we've not pushed him too fast, too quickly.
02:25But hopefully those minutes will help him a lot.
02:29He's got a little bit to do yet, I think,
02:31before he's going to be back to where he was.
02:35Despite Tiano's good start this season,
02:38would you still be hoping to make additions in that area before?
02:43Well, I think we definitely need to continue to make additions,
02:45that's for sure.
02:47You know, we thought our squad was quite thin last year.
02:50And at the moment, I think we're still one down on,
02:53if you take the way my numbers work out,
02:55I think we're one down from where we were even last year.
02:58So I still think we're short in the squad.
03:00And I still think we're short in quality in some places.
03:03I need to try and add that.
03:07Hi, David.
03:08Just on Brennan Johnson, what did you make then?
03:11I was really pleased because I think that everybody remembers Brennan
03:15probably when he's taught them.
03:17I think he got 15 or 16 goals one season and plenty of assists.
03:21And to come on with 20 minutes to go, he made a great assist for Tiano.
03:26You know, a lovely slip pass across for him to finish.
03:28And also, he finished one himself.
03:30So I thought that was more like the Brennan Johnson maybe people recognise
03:36than maybe what people have seen recently.
03:38So hopefully his confidence gets a big lift with that.
03:42And my plan was to bring him on generally a bit slower
03:47so that we could get him back up and give him plenty of confidence and ready to go.
03:50But that will have done him in the world a good tonight,
03:52getting that goal and the assist.
03:56How much do you feel that Harrison Armstrong's loan here last season has helped his development?
04:01I think Harrison's loan here was huge for him last year.
04:05And I keep repeating myself, but I wish I hadn't to bring him back actually
04:10because I wanted it for Preston to get better.
04:12But we had such an injury crisis round.
04:14The boys were away at the African Nations.
04:16We had a couple of injuries.
04:19And he'd been doing well and he was probably a bit ready to come back to us as well.
04:23And I think he's shown at the moment that he's turning into a Premier League player.
04:28And he's started the season really well.
04:31OK, folks.
04:32Sorry.
04:34What was the situation for players like Jake O'Brien?
04:39Yeah, just the same.
04:41No problem.
04:42We've chosen at the moment not to use him.
04:45But he'll be used in plenty of games, I've got no doubt.
04:49OK, thanks, folks.
04:51Cheers, thank you.
