00:09I'm a Dolly Parton impersonator with my band Andy and Mandy and I just threw my wig in the car
00:16as like my emotional support wig to make it through to grief in my own way and I knew her
00:23address and I just figured on my way and I wanted to come and bring her some flowers and a
00:28little sticker from our band.
00:30From our tribute show just to tell her thank you for everything. She's a huge change. I'm a music teacher
00:37and the news broke while I was in class with my students yesterday and it's the first time I've ever
00:43cried in front of my students in 13 years of teaching and they started crying too and it was a
00:50powerful lesson about the impact music makes on us as humans and as musicians as well.
00:56You know I think I've always as a woman you know you don't really get to do drag although that
01:01is more of a thing now but I've admired drag queens and Dolly's like the person who got to do
01:07it actually and it'd be okay and paved the way for other women to do it and to be larger
01:12than life because being a woman's awesome in so many ways. It's hard in many ways but it's awesome in
01:17so many ways. We get to dress up and have fun.
01:25Do you have any memories of this house of being oh yeah I was here every week and I worked
01:32in pictures and archives and I was a personal shopper and
01:36uh a lot of years. It's the house has gone through a lot of upgrades over the years. It's a
01:43beautiful, beautiful home. She loved living here.
01:56Love the music. I uh even went to go see her Dolly musical. That was fantastic and uh she was
02:05she provided so much for the community too and uh so it's just uh it's great to see someone uh
02:14become so famous.
02:15these days uh just free of her own kindness because uh nowadays so many people get famous for all the
02:23wrong reasons so.
