00:00Merci d'avoir regardé cette vidéo !
00:30Je vous remercie d'avoir fait un match pour 30 minutes !
01:03A record of 7-1, 14 points, and he knows he cannot afford a draw, he knows he has to
01:16beat Shingo, he has to slay the dragon, a man that Ishimori has termed the giant.
01:25While Shingo has referred to Ishimori as Little Squirt, so they've had the war of words
01:34in the press, but they will settle it in the ring, and you can't ask for much more than
01:39this.
01:39Absolutely.
01:40Unlike the finals of Game of Thrones, you won't be disappointed tonight, I mean Ishimori-san.
01:46Yes, brother.
01:51We will see what happens, but this is going to be a gem, folks.
01:55Look at the condition, this man.
01:57Come on.
01:58It's not fair.
02:00Nice to look like that once.
02:02You get it?
02:03A record of 7-1, 8.14 points, and the Ballet Club of Bones, Ishimori-san!
02:15I spent a lot of time with Ishimori on this tour, and I tell you now, he's ready to take
02:22a walk.
02:42It's not just that Shingo Takagi has gone unbeaten through this tournament.
02:52But since he debuted in Ryugoku Sumo Hall last October the 9th, Shingo Takagi has not been
02:59pinned nor submitted.
03:02And if Shingo Takagi wins here tonight, he will return to Ryugoku on June the 5th, where
03:11he will go after his first Best of Super Junior tournament win.
03:16He was not brought in as a replacement for Hiromu Takahashi in LIJ.
03:24He was brought in as a new member.
03:27And that decision by Tetsuya Naito has brought one of the greatest wrestling performances we
03:35have seen in New Japan history.
03:38With Shingo Takagi marching through all competitors and sitting at a perfect 8-0 and 16 points
03:48on the doorstep of winning the block, heading to his first Best of Super Junior final.
03:54In the red corner, he won 8-0 and 16 points.
03:58He won 8-0 and 8 points.
04:01The Dragon, Takagi Shingo!
04:08Others have gone through and won this tournament with the perfect record.
04:13Jushin Thunder Liger, 2001.
04:17Prince Devon in 2013.
04:20But nobody has done that without ever having been pinned or submitted.
04:26Think about that for a second, Gino.
04:29It's pretty crazy, but right here, he's the one man that can do it.
04:33Ishimori.
04:34Ishimori with the experience edge as a pro.
04:40Bell sounds, and here we go.
04:42They're the same age, and their journey to this point has taken them all around the world.
04:49But they're both in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and they're looking to win the block.
04:56And who better to officiate in red shoes?
05:01Finest official in the game.
05:03Ishimori made the finals last year.
05:05He won the block.
05:08Came up short to Hiromu Takahashi.
05:10That's a spectacular match in the year candidate final.
05:14And right away, Ishimori shows his quickness and able to turn Shingo around.
05:19It's been very difficult for any opponent to get Shingo off his game, Gino.
05:24Yeah, you're right, Kevin.
05:25It's a difficult thing to do to any wrestler, but Shingo seems to just be this immovable object.
05:31Hard to counter.
05:32Hard to have any offense against.
05:36And ringing up the left arm, full arm drag and twist.
05:44Ishimori injured his neck in his second tournament match against Marty Skrull.
05:51Tries to quick, and almost gets caught by the senton.
05:55The side headlock takeover, the head scissors, the kick out.
06:01So Ishimori's speed versus Shingo's power.
06:05I have a deep love for Ishimori, but as I said to you last night, Kevin,
06:10no matter where I am in the world, the first question I get in the locker room is,
06:14how good is Shingo?
06:16And it's hard not to agree.
06:20Collar and elbow again.
06:23And now Shingo pushes Ishimori against the ropes.
06:27Ishimori tried to turn it around. Shingo says no.
06:31Goal for a clean break. Shingo wants to be in control here.
06:37Tried to catch Ishimori napping.
06:42Ishimori...
06:42That rebound shoulder tackle has been so effective throughout this tournament.
06:50Ishimori tries the leapfrog and gets plucked out of midair.
06:54Driven back into the turnbuckle.
07:03I think Red Shoes is going to let a lot of these things slide.
07:07He just wants these two men to go at it and find a winner in the end.
07:13Of course, if it does go to a time limit, the block would be Shingo's.
07:18Ishimori needs to defeat Shingo to win.
07:22The quickness of Ishimori.
07:25He's so fast, Kevin.
07:26And the strength of Shingo.
07:29The bound to the knee and the DDT.
07:33And Ishimori clutching his neck right away, Gino.
07:36Yeah, it's something we said, Kevin.
07:39Ishimori's neck is a big factor in this match.
07:44And as a wrestler, I tell you now, it's not something that you want to be injured during a match.
07:49Your neck takes a lot of brunt out of all the moves.
07:55Right there.
07:56You would feel that shoot up your spine and through the neck.
07:59No, no, no, no.
08:01Cravat now.
08:02The target, the neck for Shingo Takagi.
08:05Ishimori suffered what was termed whiplash in that match with Marty Skrull.
08:11And has been feeling the effects of it when Ishimori has made press obligations throughout this tournament.
08:21Members of the press have remarked that Ishimori is having a hard time turning his head.
08:29And the knee drop catches Ishimori.
08:38And now having to carry all the weight.
08:41By the way, the athletes only weigh in at the beginning of the tournament.
08:45Just before it starts, you've got to be under the 100-kilogram limit.
08:52But once you make weight,
08:54You can eat whatever you want.
08:56You can add whatever size you want.
08:59And we don't know what Shingo weighs in tonight.
09:02I must have made weight years ago.
09:06That's Shingo now.
09:08Ishimori hanging on butt.
09:10Shingo with a big forearm.
09:13Elbowing that neck.
09:16Everything that Shingo does is with purpose.
09:22And even when Ishimori tries, tries to use the quickness.
09:28And he takes Shingo down.
09:29And now Shingo's neck is the target.
09:33I was just about to say Shingo makes no mistakes.
09:36But he got caught there.
09:39Shingo might be overly confident.
09:42Not thinking ahead as he usually does.
09:45During this tournament, Shingo's left knee was worked over by Kanemaru.
09:52And Ishimori charges in.
09:55Gets caught.
09:57And now, blasted with the kick.
10:00And now watch the sliding German.
10:02Speed and precision.
10:05Ishimori's just that quick.
10:08He throws off the gloves.
10:10Kevin, he's ready for a fight.
10:16Shingo down right here in front of us.
10:18As Ishimori has it measured.
10:26Oh, man.
10:27That was high up into the throat.
10:34And now.
10:35Going to have to wait, Kevin.
10:36All right, all right, all right.
10:37Okay.
10:38Face first into our table here.
10:42Yeah!
10:44Stop!
10:47Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.
10:48Oh, my God!
10:49Oh, man.
10:52Shingo Takagi just got wheeled into the ring post.
11:00Little close for us there, Kevin.
11:02Yeah, and a hard, hard collision with the steel.
11:06The shoulder of Shingo's met the steel ring post.
11:11And now, Ishimori can go to work.
11:16Ishimori spring bones in.
11:17Bombs away.
11:21And now, young Ishimori with all the momentum.
11:28Ishimori not intimidated by Shingo.
11:33And he is full of wear.
11:35He knows Shingo's resume.
11:38He knows every athletic accomplishment that Shingo has had.
11:41Not just in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
11:44Yeah, Shingo with quite a history in wrestling in general.
11:49But now even more impressive at New Japan.
11:52As Ishimori takes control of the neck again.
11:54The yes lock would be the submission hold that Ishimori will look to lock in.
12:00And with Shingo's shoulder and neck in harm's way earlier on.
12:07Oh, and Shingo rockets back with a forearm.
12:10Ishimori presses forward.
12:13Continuing to chop away.
12:16They're playing for keeps, folks.
12:18The winner gets a spot in the finals.
12:20They'll face the winner of Will Ospreay and Ryusuke Taguchi.
12:28So much in the line here.
12:30Pride and also, ooh, both factions.
12:35Wanting that, winning their column.
12:37Shingo's head run into the turnbuckle pad and a near fall scored by Taji Ishimori.
12:44Shingo's starting to feel the effects on his neck now.
12:49And the cravat.
13:01Shingo firing back, but Ishimori feeling very confident right now.
13:07Wow.
13:09Stopping the momentum.
13:11Wow.
13:11Straight right hand and follows up with a clothesline.
13:16Devastating clothesline across the neck of Ishimori.
13:21It's amazing to me how Shingo is able to answer every challenge.
13:27And does so.
13:28Three moves and boom, just like that, he's back in control.
13:32Ishimori's strength is unmatched in this tournament.
13:36And you're right, Kevin.
13:37It just takes a few solid strikes as Shingo goes for a power bomb here.
13:43But Ishimori shows his power.
13:49A different time and place.
13:50These two you can see as friends.
13:52They've got a lot in common.
13:54They're both weight room fanatics.
13:57They're both incredible athletes.
14:00They're very, very competitive.
14:02And they are supremely skilled professional wrestlers.
14:05As Ishimori puts Shingo down again.
14:09With the handspring kick.
14:13The world is watching, Kevin.
14:15As these two men go at it.
14:18Wait a minute, wait a minute.
14:18Watch out.
14:19Watch out.
14:20On the triangle.
14:22But Shingo was ready.
14:25And now off on the shoulders.
14:28Death Valley driver, perhaps.
14:30Oh, Kevin.
14:33Scary moment there for Ishimori.
14:37Off up.
14:39Death Valley driver.
14:41Oh, my God.
14:44Kevin, this could be it.
14:48Ishimori may not be able to answer the call of red shoes.
14:51Yeah, with that desperation move.
14:53Shingo may have just punched his ticket to the best of Super Junior final.
14:58Death Valley driver right on the edge of the apron there by Shingo.
15:04He scouted out.
15:06Ishimori's dive early.
15:07Yeah, the steel beams that run along the edge of the ring.
15:13And Shingo targeting Ishimori there.
15:24And Ishimori almost frozen to the floor as Shingo rolls him back in.
15:30Surprise, Ishimori's still able to move.
15:33Devastating Death Valley driver there.
15:36And now Shingo is asking Red Shoes to check on Ishimori to see if he's able to continue.
15:42He might be out, Kevin.
15:44I wouldn't be surprised.
15:47Oh, man.
15:48Sliding Lariat.
15:49Sliding Lariat is there.
15:51And Shingo Takagi almost your winner.
15:54But Ishimori is able to kick out.
15:57Oh wow.
16:07Fu over here!
16:08Shiligo finding himself back on top here.
16:12And Ishimori in a lot of trouble after that Death Valley driver, Kevin.
16:19No Shigami.
16:24Il n'y a pas d'un coup d'un coup d'un coup d'un coup d'un coup.
16:59Il n'y a pas d'un coup d'un coup.
