00:00This is the Fairphone Gen 6 Plus, and the big news about this year's Fairphone is
00:04that it's finally coming to the US. Previous versions of the Fairphone were available on
00:08the other side of the pond, but only in a de-googled Mirena configuration,
00:11rather than the full-fat Android model that's launching today. The Gen 6 Plus arrives with a
00:15series-high 12GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 7S Gen 4 chipset, a 4,450mAh battery and two rear cameras,
00:22a 50MP wide and a 13MP ultra-wide. None of those specs are particularly eye-catching,
00:26but the USP of Fairphones is their longevity, and indeed the Gen 6 Plus will keep receiving
00:30updates until at least 2033. The phone itself is also built with 12 easily replaceable parts,
00:36so you can easily swap out things like the battery and charging port if they give up the ghost before
00:39that date. The Fairphone Gen 6 Plus retails for $649 or ÂŁ569 and is supported in the US by T
00:46-Mobile
00:46and AT&T. It's available on Amazon or through Fairphone directly, and stay tuned to TechRadar
