00:33Yeah, we are very much concerned with the recent, the kind of tragic flood in Nepal and Tibet.
00:38So this is the kind of official prayer gathering organized by Central Tibet Administration.
00:43Today we are here in the afternoon at the Hissolines Temple to offer our prayer to all the victims of
00:49this recent tragedy.
00:52Any inputs or any reports you find from inside so far?
00:56So we are still waiting for the number.
00:58So the Chinese government is not officially declaring how many losses, how many damage caused to the Tibetan people.
01:04But in Nepal, so far we have received that a few number of Tibetans have lost life.
01:09So now it's a huge damage for the whole humanity.
01:12So not only the Tibetan, the number of people have lost their life.
01:15So we are very much concerned and we are extending our solidarity and our prayer.
01:21Yes, yes, His Holiness offered a condolence message to the Nepal and all the people who were affected by this
01:28tragedy.
01:29We have a prayer service for those people who have been affected by this massive flash flood, which has occurred
01:39at the Tibet-Nepal border.
01:43So we can see we also, there is a message from His Holiness itself.
01:48What is the message about and what are you going to pray for?
01:51So the message is all about the condolence to the people who have lost their life and also the properties.
01:57And it is not just in Nepal, but also in Tibet that there are lots of people and the properties.
02:04So here we are commemorating a prayer service in showing solidarities for the people who are being affected in this
02:13massive flash flood.
02:14Any reports? Did you get any reports or what was the main cause behind?
02:18Oh, we are still looking into it because like the only problem is that the Chinese government has to be
02:23very clear about what really happened from the other side.
02:26Because we are getting lots of reports from Nepal, but we are still not getting sufficient reports from Tibet.
02:34And the Chinese government has to be very clear about what really happened on the upper hills.
02:40Now, inside Tibet, according to Indian news, it seems it has originated 20 kilometers inside Tibet, whereas the Chinese government
02:50is trying to say that it is within Nepal.
02:52So the climatic conditions, the avalanche that people have been talking about, which caused the flash floods, resulted from inside
03:04Tibet.
03:04Tibet, and it flowed through the main entrance to Tibet, which is called the Kirong Kago, that is the Kirong
03:12Men Gate.
03:15And the Chinese government has not come out with any numbers of casualties.
03:20Just this morning, they have said three people have died, and more than 500 people have not been able to
03:26reach.
03:26And that's all they have said. Even on natural disasters, they have not been transparent.
03:33And outside Tibet, in the Nepal region, in Rasuagadhi, we have five small Tibetan settlements.
03:40Three of them are on the upper reaches, so they have not been harmed.
03:44But Tibetans in Rasuagadhi, Tibetan settlement, there are about 11 families.
03:52All of them have been wiped out.
03:55Only two of them live there, two elderly gentlemen.
03:58We don't know about their whereabouts right now.
04:01And in the nearby town, there are two families.
04:05One of them have died.
04:06And the other family has three members.
04:09We still don't know they have disappeared.
04:11And in Timuri region, there are about six people in two families.
04:16Just this morning, we were informed that six Tibetans have been rescued from that area.
04:21So we have not been able to confirm the individual names and places from where they are from.
04:26So because of which we conducted the peace prayer for the disease and speedy recovery of those who are injured.
04:38And those who have disappeared, most likely they would have been washed away by the flash floods.
04:49So we pray for their rebirth.
04:53So all the Tibetans all around the world are praying for the people who lost their lives and properties.
05:00So we have also taken steps.
05:02We have asked our administration to go to Rasuagadhi, go with support.
05:08And we are also doing a crowdfunding to help the families who have suffered
05:13and also to express our solidarity with people and government of Nepal.
