00:00already under heavy scrutiny amid multiple assassination attempts against President Trump,
00:05including an attack at the White House Correspondents Association dinner back in April.
00:11All right, now let's bring in former U.S. Secret Service agent who was part of the emergency
00:15response team under the Bush and Obama administration, Barry Donatio. Barry,
00:20thanks for being with us today. Another investigation here into Secret Service,
00:23not agents, but they are with the Bureau. Should Americans be concerned at this point?
00:31Well, I think we should all be concerned if the allegations are correct. It's my understanding
00:35from what's being reported that these are non-law enforcement administrative officials.
00:41Even the allegation that the chief of communications has been put on administrative leave. But as of
00:49this interview, I have looked on their website. He still is up on their website. So it doesn't look
00:56like anybody has fired, has been fired. But this is an internal affairs investigation. It's under the
01:04U.S. Secret Service Office of Professional Responsibility. And it's internal affairs. And
01:09every police officer knows exactly what that means. And no police officer or law enforcement officer
01:14wants a call from them because they're looking into maybe the actions that were conducted by a law
01:22enforcement official. Was it appropriate? Is there an ethics violation? Did they commit a crime?
01:28I'm leaning on the side that this hopefully was just an error on the side of some of the
01:34administrators that are under administrative leave right now. I don't think this would have been done
01:39on purpose. It could have been careless. It could have been something that they said in the public that
01:44could have been overheard. And then somebody ran with it. And then it got to the press. So
01:49I'm siding with probably the officers, the agents or whoever's involved with this
01:54probably just simply made a mistake. And I don't think it would have been done on purpose.
02:00Yeah. I mean, there's a lot of questioning, though, of the Secret Service right now. Obviously,
02:06the assassination attempts, but the leaks, the leaks, I think, have become more of a concern in recent
02:12weeks after the Air Force One swap there in Turkey. And how did CBS, I believe it was, find out
02:22about
02:22that? I mean, do you think these are connected in any way? And is there a bigger question at hand
02:27here about the Secret Service needing a total overhaul?
02:32You know, I'm at a loss there. I wonder, is it that the press is just getting better at getting
02:39information? It could be that. It could be that some of the personnel in the Secret Service just
02:44aren't doing a good enough job with their OPSEC, their information, keeping it under wraps,
02:52keeping their lips closed, loose lips, sink ships, an old saying from World War II. It could just be
02:57something that easy and overheard literally in a bagel shop. And next thing you know,
03:02somebody runs with it. I think also, how does the press even know about the disciplinary action?
03:08In my day, if there were any disciplinary action anywhere, the press certainly wasn't notified of
03:13it. So that, too, is a story. How does the press even know about this? So I guess we're in
03:20the year
03:202026. Things are different, right? And there are different ways that the press are able to get this
03:27information and maybe they're just better at it. Yeah, it could be. But let's talk about this new
03:34case that, you know, became public yesterday. And this is not a member of the press. We've got new
03:39details about this man who showed up armed to Trump's golf course in L.A. earlier this month.
03:46Janine John Teal is the guy's name. He had more than 200 pages of writing that included the First Lady's
03:52schedule and members of the president's Secret Service detail. Also had detail lists for surviving
03:58off the grid. Barry, this is not a member of the press. How did he get so much information?
04:05And what does that say about the security of the president?
04:09Yeah, I'm wondering where he's getting this information. I looked into him briefly,
04:14and he is a war veteran. I'm wondering if he's suffering from PTSD. I know that the judge ruled
04:20that right now his case is suspended under, they want to look under his medical and mental status
04:28to do more evaluations before they proceed with charges. So what information he has about the
04:34First Lady, I have not read. Maybe they're old schedules and maybe he is actually surveilling
04:40the First Lady herself, too. That is a possibility. And he could be surveilling the officers and
04:46agents. I understand he was writing down information about them. I understand also the police have
04:51recovered a rifle, a 556 rifle, a very capable weapon of war with all the proper sighting systems on it.
05:02So he certainly means business. And to do with that, what? Nobody knows as of yet. But yes,
05:09this is a dangerous case. Secret Service obviously looking into this and obviously
05:15thwarted a potential attack is what I'm taking this as.
05:20Yeah. So you talked about information being old, but if it's not old, Barry, I mean,
05:24the schedule for the First Lady, her detail and the people that are part of that detail,
05:30that is not public information. Is that correct?
05:33Right. That's not normally public information. Of course, there is
05:37things that are released to the public, like if the First Lady has an event somewhere where the
05:43public is invited, that could be put out to the press, even President Trump's information
05:49where he may be at a certain event that's out there. So I just don't know what information that
05:55the police were able to recover when they say schedules or whether it was secret or whether it was
06:02just something where it was already released to the public. In any case, it is a concern. It's
06:08good that this person is right now behind bars being looked at and certainly questioned not only
06:14by the U.S. Secret Service, but the FBI to see if there's any foreign intelligence involved in this,
06:20anybody else other than this person.
06:24Right. Yeah. Especially with the threat we've heard about against
06:27Barron Trump, potentially. There's just a lot of people on edge, buried in audio. Thank you for
06:31your time and helping us understand. We appreciate it today. All right. After more than 200 days in
06:36the hospital, one little boy headed back to school. Wait.
