00:00We need to prepare for the winter crisis. The health service has really been
00:04stretched this summer with all the heatwaves and we know every winter there's
00:08a crisis so we need a greater focus on vaccinations particularly over 65s
00:14against flu so people aren't going to hospital. We also need more people to
00:18donate blood. We've seen the past operations being cancelled because the
00:23blood supplies aren't there so we need more people to come in so I'm going to
00:27be giving blood myself today and I want the government to do far more. We need
00:32people to be able to give blood in their communities whether it's in a supermarket
00:36or even the workplace and we're calling for a major push on vaccinations and on
00:42blood donations so that NHS is properly prepared for this winter.
