00:42they had to go through a massive rebuild because they had traded away the farm they had an old
00:46aging expensive roster um so they had to trade away those guys they went through a rebuild that didn't
00:52really work and it took a long time to get back to relevancy and now under chris illich the tigers
00:59are running out of franchise record payroll this year uh they're right up against the luxury tax
01:04but they're they're probably not well after trading scoobal they're definitely not a luxury tax team but
01:10they can still spend detroit's not a small market sometimes it gets painted as a a middle market it
01:16is capable of operating like a middle to to large market for sure it's not new york it's not la
