00:00:29Area 51 was supposed to be such a secret that the Central Intelligence Agency didn't acknowledge its existence until 2013.
00:00:38And the only reason for the official disclosure was that, following the passing of the Freedom of Information Act, they'd
00:00:45no choice.
00:00:46Of course, no one was actually surprised.
00:00:49Area 51's existence had been known about for decades.
00:00:53Indeed, 20 years earlier, Larry King had hosted a documentary about it on network TV.
00:00:59Anyway, after the request, the CIA explained that the facility was used to test airplanes like the U-2 and
00:01:07the A-12, and also for research on behalf of the Atomic Energy Commission.
00:01:12Needless to say, there was no reference to extraterrestrials or UFOs.
00:01:17To begin with, no one really wanted to go to Area 51, bone-dry most of the time and swept
00:01:25by desert winds that, like sandpaper, can scour exposed skin.
00:01:30Perilous when flooded by rains that make the surface like a quicksand, ankle-ricking sponge, populated with poisonous reptiles and
00:01:39insects and miles from civilization.
00:01:41A hard sell.
00:01:43In 1955, at the request of the CIA, Clarence Leonard Kelly Johnson, a brilliant American aeronautical and systems engineer, initiated
00:01:54the construction of an airbase at Groom Lake, Nevada.
00:01:57He realized that it might be difficult to entice scientists and personnel to such a barren location, and that's why
00:02:04he proposed that Area 51 should be called Paradise Ranch.
00:02:09But after complaints by disappointed recruits, it was renamed Area 51.
00:02:15He was justifiably famous for developing the Lockheed U-2 and many other supersonic aircraft, but perhaps his skills in
00:02:24PR were a little limited.
00:02:27Area 51 was officially abandoned in 1997 after the launching of the U-2 spy plane.
00:02:33So it came as a bit of a surprise that a highly advanced surveillance drone was shown to the public
00:02:39at Area 51 in 2014.
00:02:41In 2011, the Iranian military had captured an RQ-170 drone and had begun to reverse-engineer it.
00:02:49The American military officials were not overly worried, as they were dissatisfied with its quality and performance.
00:02:57Their new model, the RQ-180, was unveiled in 2014, correcting problems with the earlier model's aerodynamics.
00:03:05It was able to stay aloft for 24 hours with a range of over 1,200 miles and was extremely
00:03:12maneuverable.
00:03:13The RQ-170 drone, in contrast, had a maximum limit of just six hours and its guidance system was unreliable.
00:03:21Quite a result for a research facility that had allegedly been closed down 20 years earlier.
00:03:27Over the years, many people have tried to find out what's behind those heavily guarded fences, including the BBC, the
00:03:36British Broadcasting Corporation,
00:03:38which would never let any silly pranks harm its reputation for being respectable and sensible.
00:03:44But this reputation hit the dirt in 2012, or more accurately, its reporters did.
00:03:50A BBC camera crew attempted to break into Area 51.
00:03:55They were rather disappointed as, to begin with, all they found was nothing of any interest.
00:04:00So, to pass the time and have something for the cameras to record, they performed silly alien-style dances.
00:04:08Within minutes, they found themselves held at gunpoint and, for three hours, forced to lie face down in the dirt.
00:04:14After background checks were completed, they were allowed to go.
00:04:18Bearing in mind the warnings that are on the signs around the base, threatening arrest, fines, and imprisonment, they certainly
00:04:26got lucky.
00:04:27Unfortunately, not everyone appears to get lucky when they fall foul of Area 51.
00:04:33We've all heard the biblical story about Plucky David and his battle with Goliath.
00:04:38Unfortunately, in reality, it's usually Goliath who wins.
00:04:42In 1880, the Shahan family acquired mining rights for a location near Area 51's testing runway.
00:04:51But, they claim in the 1950s, they started being harassed.
00:04:56They said that aeroplanes straved their property and on several occasions, they were held at gunpoint in their own home.
00:05:02They also said that the mine was rendered useless, having been polluted with radiation through nuclear testing at Area 51.
00:05:11And in 1954, they claimed that their mine had been firebombed by the Air Force.
00:05:17To avoid a court appearance, the government offered them $5.2 million for their land.
00:05:22But they refused, and a few months later, after the offer had expired, the 400 acres of land was allegedly
00:05:30seized.
00:05:31So, apart from the authorities and army personnel, has anyone seen what's in Area 51?
00:05:37Well, yes, we all can.
00:05:40In 2016, Google Earth published satellite images of Area 51, including a landing strip nearby.
00:05:47The runway is about a mile long, and there's a number of hangars clustered at one end.
00:05:53It is known that the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense both use the site.
00:06:00And although there's no official explanation as to its use, security experts have suggested that it's a drone testing site.
00:06:08But is that the whole story?
00:06:10There is one most unusual activity going on there that many visitors outside the fence have noticed.
00:06:17Imagine if you would, 30 Air Force personnel, shoulder to shoulder, marching down a runway, hoovering it.
00:06:25It's like a bizarre scene from The Simpsons, or from the British absurdist comedy Monty Python's Flying Circus.
00:06:33And yet, apparently, this happens nearly every day at Area 51.
00:06:37The Nevada desert is great for keeping the operations cheap and isolated.
00:06:43The weather is perfect for flights, and the flat lake bed is ideal for building runways.
00:06:48But it's so dusty that aeroplane engines easily get jammed.
00:06:53And for that reason, the base crew has to regularly sweep and vacuum the runways.
00:06:59None of them has ever said whether they enjoy the task, but they probably think it sucks.
00:07:04Many extraordinary claims have been made about Area 51.
00:07:09And as Carl Sagan said, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
00:07:15And some evidence is definitely more than extraordinary.
00:07:19When an aeronautical engineer with 40 years' experience at Lockheed Martin, who has 25 patents about laser-guided smart bomb
00:07:28systems, claims to have been involved with aliens, perhaps we should take him seriously.
00:07:34Boyd Bushman claimed that he'd helped extraterrestrial beings to implement anti-gravity technology at Area 51.
00:07:42He further stated that there were two types of alien, Wrangler and Rustler aliens, who could travel between Earth and
00:07:50their own planet in only 45 minutes.
00:07:54As part of his proof, Boyd Bushman published a photograph of one of the aliens.
00:07:59Unfortunately, it was actually identified as a plastic alien doll that could be bought at Walmart.
00:08:06Silly man, though in fairness, no harm done.
00:08:10However, some extraordinary claims have really muddied the waters.
00:08:15The most popular ones were promoted in Annie Jacobson's book, Area 51, An Uncensored History.
00:08:22During her research, she'd interviewed a number of retired personnel who had worked at the base.
00:08:28She claimed that they had told her about secret work on reverse-engineering alien technology, and that the base had
00:08:36numerous flying saucers hidden in underground tunnels.
00:08:39Unfortunately, many of the interviewees subsequently said that she'd misrepresented them and their views.
00:08:46Reverse engineering of technology was going on, but it was the reverse engineering of Soviet technology following the capture of
00:08:54MiG jet fighters during the Cold War of the 1970s and 80s.
00:08:59They accepted that there were secret underground tunnels, but that they were associated with the Project NERVA nuclear research program
00:09:07conducted near Area 51 at a location called Jackass Flats.
00:09:12And the flying saucers?
00:09:14The indignant interviewees said that there was a vehicle dubbed the Oxcart, which was a circular fuel-carrying pod that
00:09:22admittedly did resemble a stereotypical flying saucer.
00:09:26Hundreds, possibly thousands, of people have visited the site.
00:09:31Indeed, in 2019, a Facebook page was set up that invited us all to storm Area 51 on the 20th
00:09:40of September.
00:09:41Although they hope that by Naruto running they can move faster than the bullets, it's more likely they'll be having
00:09:48some coffee and cake on nearby Nevada State Route 375, otherwise known as the Extraterrestrial Highway.
00:09:56Because it passes by Area 51, there are quirky rest stops all along the 98-mile stretch of road.
00:10:03At the intersection of the Extraterrestrial Highway and US 93 is the ET Fresh Jerky restaurant.
00:10:11Inside there's a mural that depicts an alien-style Wild West scene complete with alien cowboys.
00:10:18Further down the road, there's an alien research center gift shop, with its enormous alien statue standing guard.
00:10:26And at the town called Rachel, with its 40 inhabitants, there's a quirky and eccentric cafe called The Little A
00:10:33-Lean, full of kitsch and memorabilia, and locals eager to share their stories of alien experiences.
00:10:40And maybe that's what Area 51 is all about.
00:10:44In an increasingly crazy world, a harmless bit of fun.
00:10:48Or is it?
00:10:54Many people were shocked by the deathbed revelations of Ben Rich, the former director of Lockheed Scunt Works, a secret
00:11:03research and development facility.
00:11:06Rich claimed that UFOs were alien spacecraft, and that extraterrestrial visitors were real.
00:11:12Furthermore, he stated that their craft were in some way controlled by the powers of the mind, through a combination
00:11:19of ESP, extrasensory perception, and psychokinesis, the ability to move objects with the power of thought.
00:11:29Naturally, the skeptic scoffed at his claims.
00:11:32This is understandable, since the idea that spacecraft could ever be controlled by thought alone certainly sounds preposterous.
00:11:40But in recent years, R&D projects exploring the integration of mind with machine have progressed by leaps and bounds,
00:11:49revealing the possible legitimacy of science fiction scenarios, such as the one proposed by a dying Ben Rich.
00:11:57One intriguing result of this research is the creation of a small, high-tech helicopter that can be guided and
00:12:05propelled through the intentional regulation of brainwaves.
00:12:08Whether mind-controlled UFOs are real or not, we can now say with certainty that thought-powered flight is both
00:12:16a possibility and a reality.
00:12:19Mind Control in Flight
00:12:21In 2013, a team of researchers at the University of Minnesota's Institute for Engineering in Medicine wanted to test the
00:12:30theory that thought patterns could be detected and decoded by computers, and then used to direct mechanical responses.
00:12:39To achieve their goals, they built a tiny four-blade helicopter designed to be controlled exclusively by thought, in a
00:12:47manner of speaking.
00:12:48This experiment in advanced robotics was not motivated by a desire to harness latent psychic powers.
00:12:56Instead, its purpose was to reveal how brains can be linked to computers through software that interprets information contained within
00:13:05brainwaves.
00:13:06Subsequently, that data can be used as a guide when sending instructions to remotely controlled mechanical devices, telling them where
00:13:16or how to move, or telling them to perform some other type of action.
00:13:20To facilitate the mind-computing interface, subjects were fitted with specially designed caps that could measure brainwave activity, generating data
00:13:30in the form of an EEG.
00:13:32The EEG is normally ordered as a medical test for neurological disorders, but in this case, the data collected was
00:13:41redirected by a wireless signal to an electronic control system inside the helicopter.
00:13:47This system was programmed to respond to the thought patterns revealed by the EEG, and after some trial-and-error
00:13:55style learning, it was up to the human controllers to change their thoughts to receive the required responses.
00:14:02After some practice, the five test subjects who volunteered for this study managed to navigate the helicopter through foam rings
00:14:11scattered around an indoor course.
00:14:13Visual feedback was provided by the helicopter's onboard camera, and by following images projected on a screen, the subjects were
00:14:21able to move the helicopter horizontally and vertically, right or left, simply by focusing their minds and thoughts on the
00:14:30task at hand.
00:14:31Our study shows that for the first time, humans are able to control the flight of flying robots using just
00:14:39their minds, sensed from non-invasive brainwaves, proclaimed Bin He, a professor in the University of Minnesota College of Science
00:14:47and Engineering and the lead scientist in the study.
00:14:50While these results generated much publicity, this research project was not the first to demonstrate the capacity of the human
00:14:58brain to control flying objects remotely.
00:15:02In 2012, scientists in China designed an EEG-based computer interface that allowed test subjects to control the flight of
00:15:11a hovering drone.
00:15:12Inspired by both achievements, private sector developers from a Portuguese tech firm launched a project called BrainFlight in 2015.
00:15:22Using an EEG-based control system, test subjects were trained on flight simulators for both manned and unmanned vehicles.
00:15:31Eventually, they were able to translate their newfound mind-over-matter skills to control the flight of a real unmanned
00:15:39aerial vehicle, UAV.
00:15:41The Portuguese company hopes its brain-computer-machine interface technology can eventually be applied to other types of transportation,
00:15:50including conventional aircraft, airplanes and helicopters, cars, boats and trains.
00:15:56One advantage of such a system is that it could be used by people with physical disabilities, whose minds remain
00:16:03unaffected by their other limitations.
00:16:07Mind control in robotics
00:16:09Three years after successfully teaching volunteers to fly a tiny helicopter with the power of their minds,
00:16:17Bin He and his research team at the University of Minnesota achieved yet another important milestone.
00:16:23Applying the same brainwave detection technology to robotics,
00:16:27They taught eight subjects how to manipulate a robot arm with nothing more than mental input.
00:16:34Fitted with EEG caps that could transmit signals,
00:16:38the subjects were able to move the robot arm by imagining the movements of their own arms.
00:16:44Over time, they learned how to control the hand movements of the robot arm as well,
00:16:48which allowed them to pick up objects and move them to new locations.
00:16:53This is the first time in the world that people can operate a robotic arm to reach and grasp objects
00:17:00in a complex 3D environment,
00:17:02using only their thoughts without a brain implant, Bin He declared.
00:17:07Three years ago, we weren't sure moving a more complex robotic arm using this brain-computer interface,
00:17:14the one developed for the mini-helicopter, could ever be achieved, he continued.
00:17:18We're happily surprised that it worked with a high success rate.
00:17:23A year after Bin He and his research team announced these results,
00:17:28engineers and developers affiliated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Computer Science and Intelligence Lab
00:17:35decided to take things one step further.
00:17:39They used EEG-based interface technology to train volunteers to direct the activities
00:17:45of a full-sized robot named Baxter,
00:17:48who had been designed to perform a variety of physical tasks.
00:17:52This project proved highly successful,
00:17:55showing that brain-computer-machine interface systems
00:17:58can be scaled up to a more complex level.
00:18:03Exploring the Horizons of the Mind
00:18:05The implications of this type of technology are limitless.
00:18:10A mind-computer-machine interface could be used to assist or augment cognitive or sensory motor functions
00:18:18in those with disabilities,
00:18:20either in coordination with prosthetic devices
00:18:23or through mind-to-mind relationships established with helper robots.
00:18:28Such an interface would allow for remote control of machines
00:18:32assigned to tackle tasks that carry high risk for humans.
00:18:37Additionally, it could be used aboard spacecrafts
00:18:40to help astronauts carry out a wide variety of assignments,
00:18:44with the assistance of sophisticated machine technology
00:18:47that could be deployed outside the craft or down on planetary surfaces.
00:18:52What we've been exploring here is quite different from psychokinesis
00:18:57or from UFOs controlled directly by thought.
00:19:00Nevertheless, a fully developed technology
00:19:03that integrates thought with computer with machine
00:19:07would expand human capabilities far beyond anything previously imagined.
00:19:12The outcomes it could produce
00:19:14might just be as impressive as anything imagined
00:19:17by any science fiction writer or paranormal enthusiast,
00:19:21once the technology is perfected.
00:19:29Canada's ex-Defense Minister Paul Hellyer
00:19:32has claimed that advanced alien technology exists
00:19:36and that they will give it to us if we stop all wars.
00:19:40Hellyer has long maintained that aliens have been visiting Earth for many decades
00:19:44and said that when aliens witnessed the atomic bomb,
00:19:48they decided that we were a huge threat to the cosmos.
00:19:51Apparently, the aliens are worried that Earth is going to use the bomb again
00:19:55and that this will affect the whole balance of the universe.
00:20:07Initial Revelations
00:20:08In April 2015, newspapers across the world ran a story
00:20:13stating that the then 19-year-old Paul Hellyer,
00:20:16the former Canadian Defence Minister,
00:20:19claimed that the world's top leaders were hiding aliens from the human race.
00:20:23This was actually not as startling as it seemed at the time.
00:20:27Popular newspapers had previously published
00:20:29at least two similar stories about Hellyer's alien conspiracy theory
00:20:33in 2010, 2011, and in 2014.
00:20:38In fact, Hellyer had been speaking out publicly about aliens for decades.
00:20:43In 1967, Canada's centennial year,
00:20:47Hellyer went to St. Paul, Alberta,
00:20:49to officially inaugurate the world's first flying saucer welcome landing pad,
00:20:54which was built to celebrate the centennial.
00:20:57Weighing just over 130 tons,
00:21:00the large flat concrete structure contains a time capsule
00:21:03which will be opened on the 100th year anniversary of the pad's opening in 2067.
00:21:09In a Toronto Star article from May 2010,
00:21:13entitled Paul Hellyer Defends Aliens
00:21:16after Stephen Hawking's warning that Hellyer had defended aliens
00:21:20after Stephen Hawking's warning Hellyer had defended aliens
00:21:24after Professor Hawking had warned about
00:21:27that malevolent aliens might lead to the destruction of humanity.
00:21:31Hawking was talking about his theory
00:21:34that most extraterrestrial life will be similar to microbes or small animals
00:21:39and added that advanced forms might be nomads
00:21:42looking to conquer and colonize new planets.
00:21:45Hellyer's reaction to Hawking's idea
00:21:48seems to have come from a misunderstanding
00:21:50of exactly what he meant when he said extraterrestrial.
00:21:54He said,
00:21:55I think he's indulging in some pretty scary talk there
00:21:59that I would have hoped would not come from someone
00:22:01with such an established stature.
00:22:04I think it's really sad that a scientist of his repute
00:22:07would contribute to what I would consider
00:22:10more misinformation about a vast and very important subject.
00:22:15Hellyer believes humans, as a species, owe a lot to aliens,
00:22:20especially in terms of technology,
00:22:22even though many people would find that difficult to accept.
00:22:26Aliens, he said, have been in contact with Earth
00:22:29for a very long time indeed.
00:22:31He said the reality is that aliens have been visiting Earth
00:22:35for decades and probably millennia
00:22:37and have contributed considerably to our knowledge.
00:22:40Microchips, for example, fiber optics.
00:22:43They're just two of the many things that allegedly,
00:22:46and probably for real, came from crashed vehicles.
00:22:50In a January 2014 interview aired on the Russia Today TV program,
00:22:56Hellyer stated that aliens are already amongst us,
00:22:59but they refuse to share their advanced technologies
00:23:02unless we change our warlike and polluting ways.
00:23:06There are apparently 80 different species of aliens,
00:23:09according to Hellyer,
00:23:10some of whom look exactly like humans.
00:23:13Most of these extraterrestrials come from other star systems,
00:23:17although there are some living on Venus, Mars, and Saturn's moon.
00:23:22The majority of species are peaceful and want to help humans,
00:23:26although there may be one or two species which do not
00:23:30and have ulterior motives for visiting Earth.
00:23:33Hellyer also discussed a Star Trek-like federation of aliens
00:23:37that has a rule not to interfere in the affairs of Earth.
00:23:42He went on to describe how the aliens are concerned
00:23:45about the direction in which humanity is heading.
00:23:48We have a long history of UFOs,
00:23:51and of course there's been a lot more activity
00:23:53in the last few decades since we invented the atomic bomb.
00:23:57They're very concerned about that,
00:23:59and that we might use it again,
00:24:01because the whole cosmos has a unity,
00:24:04and it affects not just us, but other people in the cosmos.
00:24:07They're very much afraid that we might be stupid enough
00:24:10to start using atomic weapons again.
00:24:14Hellyer has also called on world leaders
00:24:16to confess to an alleged conspiracy,
00:24:19which he believes includes information about alien ships
00:24:22and how at least four different kinds of alien have visited Earth.
00:24:27Hellyer also believes the world's elite
00:24:29possess the technology to reverse the effects of climate change,
00:24:33if they so desired,
00:24:35but not to do so as the Illuminati wants to help the petroleum industry.
00:24:40In February 2018,
00:24:43Hellyer sent in an interview with a UK tabloid newspaper,
00:24:46you have got a secret cabal that's actually running the world,
00:24:50and they've managed to keep this technology under wraps
00:24:53until they can cash in on the trillions of oil assets that they've got.
00:24:58And it's not going to change
00:24:59until hundreds of thousands of people band together
00:25:02and say, look, you've got to come clean,
00:25:05tell us what is going on
00:25:07and change your priorities to save the world
00:25:10for further generations
00:25:11instead of blowing it on wars.
00:25:14A story published as recently as March 2021
00:25:18reiterated Hellyer's main ET claims,
00:25:21adding a few details,
00:25:22such as a Cold War incident involving aliens.
00:25:25In one of the cases during the Cold War in 1961,
00:25:29there were about 50 UFOs in formation
00:25:32flying south from Russia across Europe.
00:25:35The Supreme Allied Commander was very concerned
00:25:38and was about to press the panic button
00:25:41when they turned around and went back over the North Pole.
00:25:44They decided to do an investigation
00:25:46and they investigated for three years
00:25:49and decided that with absolute certainty
00:25:52four different species at least
00:25:54have been visiting this planet for thousands of years.
00:25:57There's been a lot more activity in the past two decades,
00:26:01especially since we invented the atomic bomb.
00:26:04He again mentioned the aliens' concern
00:26:06at the directions Earth was taking
00:26:09due to constant wars
00:26:10and the destructive potential of nuclear weapons.
00:26:13We are ruining our planet.
00:26:15We're doing all sorts of things
00:26:17that we shouldn't be doing
00:26:18and they don't like that.
00:26:20They've made it clear
00:26:21and they have given us a warning.
00:26:23Decades ago, visitors from other planets
00:26:26warned us about the direction we were heading in
00:26:28and offered to help.
00:26:30Instead, some of us interpreted their visits as a threat
00:26:33and decided to shoot first and ask questions after.
00:26:37It's ironic that the US should be fighting
00:26:40monstrously expensive wars
00:26:41allegedly to bring democracy to those countries

00:26:48when trillions, and I mean thousands of billions of dollars

00:26:55which both Congress and the Commander-in-Chief

00:27:07started a discussion on the social news
00:27:10and discussion website Reddit.
00:27:11In this discussion, Helier answered various questions
00:27:15about extraterrestrials and UFOs
00:27:18from various Reddit users.
00:27:20In answer to a question
00:27:21about his personal experience with aliens,
00:27:25Helier said that he had only been in direct contact once
00:27:28when he was encouraged to keep up the good work he was doing.
00:27:32On this occasion, he was also informed
00:27:34that there were eight different species
00:27:36working together with individuals like himself
00:27:39who were involved with disclosure
00:27:41and spreading the truth about ETs.
00:27:44Helier also claimed that the aliens enhanced his ability
00:27:47to communicate telepathically.
00:27:50In answers to the questions
00:27:52why the aliens haven't so far publicly announced their existence
00:27:55and why they haven't shared their incredible advanced technology,
00:27:59Helier said, some have.
00:28:02Valiant Thor, the benevolent Venusian with an IQ of 1,200,
00:28:06lived in the Pentagon for three or four years
00:28:08offering us Earthlings a richer, healthier life
00:28:12in exchange for giving up our nuclear weapons.
00:28:15His offer was not accepted.
00:28:17They shared their technology
00:28:19and both the US and Russia have adopted it for military purposes.
00:28:23Some have spilled over,
00:28:24including microchips used in our smartphones.
00:28:27Unfortunately, we could have had more in agriculture and medicine,
00:28:31for example, if we had abandoned our warlike ways.

00:28:38why he was allowed to speak out on the subject of aliens and ET technology
00:28:43whilst the governments of the world kept these matters secret.
00:28:47Was he breaking any official secrets act
00:28:49for which he could be prosecuted?

00:28:53governments, especially the US government,
00:28:56have been working with several species for decades
00:28:59and knows an incredible amount about them.
00:29:01They have spent billions denying the existence of UFOs,
00:29:05ETs, and their incredible characteristics.
00:29:08Only in recent days have former US defense officials
00:29:12admitted the reality of UFOs.
00:29:14I personally wonder about their motives.

00:29:55Unfortunately, most readers have failed to find the answers
00:29:58they were looking for in that book.
00:30:06Secret Space Force, Super Soldiers, Native Martians?
00:30:12Rumors have speculated about these for as long as we can remember,
00:30:16especially since hacker Gary McKinnon tapped into the secret files
00:30:21of the US military and NASA.
00:30:23His desire was to discover the US authorities' knowledge
00:30:26about the UFO phenomenon,
00:30:28but during McKinnon's illicit surveillance that took place for years,
00:30:33he unearthed a strange mix of information,
00:30:35and all of it concerned UFO technology,
00:30:39anti-gravity, and most astonishing of all,
00:30:42the existence of a fully funded and secret force
00:30:45intended to wage war in deep space,
00:30:48and perhaps on other planets.
00:30:50There have been claims of bases residing on the moon
00:30:53since the late 1950s,
00:30:55when the US Army and Air Force declared their intention
00:30:58to create permanent manned bases there.
00:31:01These bases would allow them to obtain a clear military advantage.
00:31:05After hearing what Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin witnessed
00:31:09during their Apollo 11 mission,
00:31:11these claims are not as wild as they first appear.
00:31:15While on the moon,
00:31:16Armstrong and Aldrin allegedly saw an enormous spacecraft
00:31:20lined up on the rim of a crater opposite them.
00:31:24Naturally, none of this brief conversation was ever released by NASA.
00:31:28There have been many claims, both for and against this possibility.
00:31:33However, there are individuals who not only claim to have knowledge of such bases,
00:31:38but also allege that they have been there.
00:31:40This possibility becomes even more credible
00:31:43when Donald Trump spoke about establishing a sixth branch of the American military in 2018,
00:31:50perhaps the US Space Force.
00:31:52This wasn't the only hint.
00:31:54On three separate occasions in the 80s,
00:31:58US President Ronald Reagan also hinted at this.
00:32:01Reagan said that in the event of an extraterrestrial threat,
00:32:05we would soon forget all the domestic and territorial issues
00:32:09to join together to defeat such a threat.
00:32:12Could this be an agenda to prepare the public for something greater?
00:32:16Perhaps the best information comes from someone who not only claimed to have been in one of these bases,
00:32:23both on the moon and on Mars,
00:32:25but was also part of a secret project designed to protect planet Earth from invasion.
00:32:31That man was Randy Allen Kramer.
00:32:34Most dismiss this as a hoax,
00:32:36but there are key details that give validity to the story.
00:32:40Kramer appeared on many TV shows talking about his experiences.
00:32:45He said that he was first recruited into the secret space program in 1970,
00:32:51aged four, as part of a military abduction.
00:32:54Kramer claimed that this program was named Project Moonshadow.
00:32:58Prior to being recruited,
00:33:00he had a series of what he assumed were vivid nightmares.
00:33:04However, it was later revealed that these were deliberately induced in his brain
00:33:09to see if he was a suitable candidate for the program.
00:33:12Out of 3.7 billion people on the planet in the 70s,
00:33:16why was Kramer chosen out of everyone else?
00:33:20Actually, Kramer wasn't the only one to be tested.
00:33:23He claimed to have been one of 300 people secretly inducted into the program.
00:33:29At night, he was taken from his bed to isolated training camps for days,
00:33:34sometimes weeks.
00:33:35Interestingly, he was always returned to his bed when these training sessions finished,
00:33:41and he awoke as normal with no sense of time passing.
00:33:45What occurred during this time away?
00:33:48Later, Kramer became part of a top-secret project,
00:33:52this time the creation of fearsome super-soldiers.
00:33:55This involved subjecting the candidates to all kinds of revolutionary,
00:34:00psychological, and physical conditioning, including the use of implants.
00:34:05However, this didn't occur until the latter stages of the program of various kinds
00:34:10because of the obvious physical changes these implants produced.
00:34:14What these modifications did do, however,
00:34:17was make him and his colleagues into virtually unstoppable biological machines.
00:34:22Once they had completed their duty, all of the implants were removed.
00:34:27Kramer spoke of other aspects of this project.
00:34:30A different kind of super-soldier was developed using fetuses altered through genetic engineering.
00:34:37These were cheaper to produce than machines and had a limited lifespan.
00:34:41Thus, they were expendable and intended for short-term use in extremely hazardous off-world environments.
00:34:48Why were parents giving permission for their children to be taken?
00:34:53They weren't.
00:34:54Time travel was used to avoid raising the concerns of the children's parents
00:34:59and, of course, the unwelcome interest of civil authorities.
00:35:02It wasn't until 1987 that Kramer was finally fully inducted into the Space Force
00:35:09as part of the Mars Defense Force.
00:35:12The Mars Defense Force was intended to guard five civilian settlements.
00:35:16Each of these were established to facilitate mining operations.
00:35:21Prior to his deployment on Mars, he was taken to one of the bases on the Moon.
00:35:27Kramer learned that, surprisingly, this unit had been established since the early 1950s.
00:35:34On Mars, he finally signed his enlistment papers that led to him spending a total of 20 years there.
00:35:40This deployment was part of an elite group of space marines who were, in turn,
00:35:46part of an ultra-secret branch of the U.S. Marine Corps.
00:35:50It's important to realize that this Space Force is a joint effort involving Russia, Germany and China as well as
00:35:57the USA.
00:35:58Although these countries don't get along particularly well, it's likely that, in the event of an extraterrestrial threat to the
00:36:06planet,
00:36:07they would have to work together to defeat it.
00:36:09And so the forces are part of the cooperative alliance.
00:36:13When Kramer arrived on Mars, he was assigned to a base located in the far north of the planet called
00:36:20Ares Prime.
00:36:21It was here he discovered that not only is there an atmosphere on Mars, but it is breathable.
00:36:28However, he had to wear a face mask, otherwise breathing would be unbearably uncomfortable.
00:36:33Ares Prime is the largest of the Martian bases.
00:36:37The military section of this base is designated as Forward Station Zebra.
00:36:42This is where he spent his time.
00:36:44During his stay, he learned that authorities on Earth are aware of at least 50 different species of extraterrestrial,
00:36:52the majority of which have different forms of space travel.
00:36:56Actually, there were several reasons why these bases had been established.
00:37:00Although they were primarily intended to see if the human race could not only survive, but also thrive off planet,
00:37:07there were other reasons too.
00:37:10One was to establish the previously mentioned defense force.
00:37:14The others were to claim Mars as U.S. territory,
00:37:17and incredibly to familiarize the Martians with people from planet Earth.
00:37:23Apparently, there are two intelligent species on the red planet.
00:37:27One is reptilian, and the other is an insect-based life form.
00:37:32Although Kramer was initially told that they were hostile to each other and to humans,
00:37:37this was just propaganda.
00:37:39The truth was quite different.
00:37:41Both species were intelligent and highly evolved, and each had its own cultures and beliefs.
00:37:47Most species inhabited in hives below ground.
00:37:51Initially, the indigenous Martians treated the humans as neighbors and had no apparent interest in conflict.
00:37:58But of course, there were still some minor clashes.
00:38:01Given that the environment was hostile and unforgiving to all species,
00:38:06they eventually agreed that conflict was not the way forward, so a peace treaty was drawn.
00:38:11Humans agreed to respect the customs and traditions of the native Martians,
00:38:16and that, in the best interests of all concerned,
00:38:20they would join forces to defeat another reptilian race called the Draconians,
00:38:25who planned to invade Mars.
00:38:28This agreement resulted in a successful joint battle.
00:38:31Kramer revealed that the Space Force was able to recover various weapons
00:38:35that could be reversed-engineered for use in the Space Force.
00:38:40Shortly before his departure from Mars,
00:38:42a group of Marines received orders to enter a reptoid hive to recover an artifact of some kind.
00:38:49Kramer was aware that this would break the terms of the treaty, risking conflict.
00:38:54When he asked about this, he was told that these were direct orders from headquarters,
00:39:00and they had no choice.
00:39:01A team of 50 Marines entered the underground tunnels,
00:39:05leading to a large open area resembling a huge arena.
00:39:08The artifact they were required to remove was on a pedestal in the center of the arena.
00:39:14When they arrived, reptoids rushed out of the doors,
00:39:17carrying scythe-like weapons.
00:39:19A fierce hand-to-hand battle took place,
00:39:22which resulted in 25 men of Kramer's group being killed.
00:39:26They did, however, retrieve the artifact,
00:39:29which Kramer described as looking like ancient technology,
00:39:33but he never disclosed its use.
00:39:35Despite being badly wounded,
00:39:37he managed to get out and spend several weeks in the base hospital.
00:39:41It was here that his commanding officer offered him a chance to get off Mars
00:39:45and become a pilot ferrying equipment to and from the Moon.
00:39:49After recovering, Kramer left Mars for good
00:39:52and spent his final three years in the secret space program as a pilot.
00:39:57As his service came to an end,
00:40:00he remained on the Moon for four months,
00:40:02undergoing a de-aging process to prepare him for his return to Earth.
00:40:06During this process, his implants were removed,
00:40:10along with his memories of his time in space.
00:40:13Eventually, Kramer was returned to his original timeline in 1987.
00:40:18So how do we know all of this information?
00:40:22Well, gradually, some of the repressed memories started to resurface.
00:40:26The story told by Kramer is truly remarkable.
00:40:30Ever since, other sources claiming to have served on Mars
00:40:33have come forward with their own experiences.
00:40:36However, most served at different times
00:40:39and were unaware of each other until Kramer went public.
00:40:43This triggered their own recall of the events that they had experienced.
00:40:47A common feature between all of them was the use of a portal
00:40:51that permitted almost instantaneous transfer
00:40:54between different interplanetary locations.
00:40:57They claimed that they had communicated with native Martians
00:41:01using a form of telepathy.
00:41:03Supposedly, telepathy was just one of their many super-soldier enhancements.
00:41:09Kramer has been determined to get his message out to the public,
00:41:12making us aware of the secret space program,
00:41:15as well as the ongoing cover-up about extraterrestrial life
00:41:19and the existence of planet bases on the Moon and Mars.
00:41:23But are Randy Kramer's brave revelations
00:41:25enough for the truth to be told?
00:41:32In 1977, a British television program titled
00:41:37Science Report, Alternative 3,
00:41:39part of an Anglia TV documentary series,
00:41:43aired and planted the seed of fear
00:41:45about alien invasion in society at large.
00:41:48The program focuses on the disappearances
00:41:51of prominent scientists, engineers and astronomers.
00:41:55The speculation is that the Earth is collapsing
00:41:58and will soon be unable to support human life.
00:42:01So these people have been taken by several governments
00:42:04acting together in an intergovernmental secret space program,
00:42:08SSP, with the goal of developing colonies on other planets
00:42:13using the Moon as a way station.
00:42:16If you ever have a chance to view the program,
00:42:18it is so convincing that you will want to volunteer for the SSP,
00:42:23pack up your family and head for Mars.
00:42:26However, there is only one lone copy.
00:42:28It is in the possession of Alternative 3's director.
00:42:32It is thought to be fading and grainy due to the passage of time.
00:42:36All other copies of the program were destroyed
00:42:38and any paperwork referencing the show,
00:42:41as if the program never existed.
00:42:44Although the TV program aired in the June of 1977,
00:42:49the producers claimed it was originally intended to be on air
00:42:52on April Fool's Day.
00:42:54Workers in the industry were striking,
00:42:57so the air date was postponed.
00:42:59When it did air,
00:43:00the reaction of viewers was reminiscent
00:43:02of the 1938 radio broadcast by Orson Welles
00:43:06of the War of the Worlds,
00:43:08which created civil unrest and havoc.
00:43:10The broadcast was meant to be a joke,
00:43:13but thousands of people in the U.S.
00:43:15thought that the Earth was being invaded by Martians.
00:43:18They hit the streets in panic,
00:43:20not knowing what to do next or how to escape.
00:43:23The program was so disturbing,
00:43:25it was only shown once in England and once in Australia.
00:43:29The U.S. refused to air the program.
00:43:32It was never shown anywhere again.
00:43:34Even though the directors and producers of Alternative 3
00:43:37were adamant that it was fiction,
00:43:39questions still abound.
00:43:41Is there some truth to the Alternative 3 theory?
00:43:45Are there three alternatives for Earth inhabitants

00:44:19The slot where Alternative 3 aired

00:44:25The title of the series was Science Reports
00:44:28and Alternative 3 was the title of just one segment.
00:44:32It was the last program of the season
00:44:34of the Science Reports.
00:44:36The program was created by reputable reporters
00:44:39and researchers who were well respected
00:44:41for their documentaries.
00:44:43Why would they risk their reputation
00:44:45by airing such a hoax?
00:44:47Was it really a hoax?
00:44:48Or was it a disguised message to the public
00:44:51about a secret space program?
00:44:54A book with the same title, Alternative 3,
00:44:58was subsequently written by Leslie Watkins.
00:45:00It presented some of the theories
00:45:03of the alleged hoax as truth.
00:45:05The book and the television program
00:45:07promoted the idea
00:45:08that astronauts had landed on Mars in 1962
00:45:11in a joint US-USSR effort
00:45:15and definitely identified
00:45:16intelligent extraterrestrial life.
00:45:19It also promoted the idea
00:45:21that climate change was just one thing
00:45:23that could soon make the Earth uninhabitable.
00:45:27Dr. Carl Gerstein, fictional physicist.
00:45:31Dr. Gerstein was a role played
00:45:33by an actor on the Alternative 3 broadcast.
00:45:36In the program, he is a climate change physicist
00:45:39who predicts there will be changes so severe
00:45:42that people on Earth will need
00:45:44to find a new place to live.
00:45:46The actor said he did not rehearse
00:45:48any of his lines
00:45:49because he wanted them to come across as true.
00:45:52His findings came across to some
00:45:55as a veiled warning.
00:45:57His three alternatives were
00:45:581. Fix it.
00:46:01Blast a hole in the ozone layer
00:46:02which would cause the death of many people
00:46:05and result in a reduction of the population.
00:46:082. Mitigate it.
00:46:10Construct underground shelters
00:46:12for protection of the elite,
00:46:14including government officials
00:46:15and those deemed important enough to save
00:46:18until the danger was over
00:46:20and they could resurface.
00:46:223. Survive it.
00:46:24Build civilizations on Mars
00:46:26with a way station on the Moon.
00:46:28The program concluded that options 1 and 2
00:46:32were not viable.
00:46:33Therefore, building off-planet breakaway civilizations
00:46:36on Mars was the only option.
00:46:39Alternative 3. A warning.
00:46:42Olaf Phillips, a researcher and writer
00:46:45who focuses on the SSP,
00:46:47believes Alternative 3
00:46:49was the most dangerous television program in the world.
00:46:52He also equates that the three alternatives
00:46:54presented in the television program
00:46:57with what he believes is really happening in the world today.
00:47:00He believes there is evidence
00:47:02that all three alternatives
00:47:04have either been explored
00:47:05or are currently under-exploration.

00:47:16in an attempt to modify the atmosphere.
00:47:18In 1958, Operation Argus
00:47:21was an attempt to manipulate the radiation belts.
00:47:25There is evidence that the government
00:47:27is still trying to manipulate the atmosphere
00:47:29to make it safer for mankind.
00:47:32All attempts to change the atmosphere
00:47:34have been failures.
00:47:35which means the focus likely moved
00:47:37to Alternative 2.

00:47:42There is evidence that this is happening right now.
00:47:45The Nordic seed vault is a storage facility

00:50:49have revealed that two U.S. fighter planes
00:50:52were scrambled in order to shoot down
00:50:54an unidentified flying object
00:50:56over the English countryside during the Cold War.
00:50:59Some UFO experts now believe this sighting
00:51:02may have been part of a secret U.S. project
00:51:05to create phantom aircraft on radar screens
00:51:08to test Soviet air defenses.
00:51:10This was not the first time the U.S. military
00:51:13had fired on unknown craft.
00:51:15In 1942, what is known as the Battle of Los Angeles
00:51:18took place, where troops opened fire for many hours
00:51:22on strange craft in the sky,
00:51:23variously described as invading Japanese airplanes,
00:51:28alien spaceships, weather balloons,
00:51:30or even hallucinations.
00:51:32Recently, a report from Britain's National Archives
00:51:36was made public,
00:51:37which described two U.S. fighter jets
00:51:39which were scrambled in calm weather
00:51:41from the Royal Air Force Base at Manston, Kent,
00:51:44Eastern England, at the height of the Cold War.
00:51:47One of the planes, an F-86D Sabre jet,
00:51:50was ordered to open fire on a huge, unidentified object
00:51:54that had suddenly appeared on his radar screen.
00:51:57According to the pilot,
00:51:59he was ordered to fire his rockets at the UFO,
00:52:02which was moving erratically over the North Sea.
00:52:05However, at the last minute,
00:52:06the mysterious object accelerated
00:52:08and disappeared from his radar at incredible speed.
00:52:12The pilot's name was later revealed to be Milton Torres,
00:52:16and in a recent interview with Britain's Sky News
00:52:19from his home in Miami,
00:52:20he said he'd spent 50 years
00:52:23trying to discover the truth of his mid-air encounter,
00:52:26which took place on the night of the 20th of May, 1957.
00:52:30In the interview,
00:52:31he gave his recollection of these strange events.
00:52:34He said,
00:52:35I was only a lieutenant
00:52:36and very much aware of the gravity of the situation.
00:52:39I felt very much like a one-legged man
00:52:42in an ass-kicking contest.
00:52:44The order came to fire a salvo of rockets at the UFO.
00:52:48The authentication was valid,
00:52:50and I selected 24 rockets.
00:52:52I had a lock-on that had the proportions
00:52:54of a flying aircraft carrier.
00:52:57The larger the airplane,
00:52:58the easier the lock-on.
00:53:00This blip almost locked itself.
00:53:02Although Torres didn't see the UFO directly,
00:53:05he tracked it on his jet's radar system screen
00:53:08before it sped off before he could fire.
00:53:11He said,
00:53:12I had not the foggiest idea what had occurred,
00:53:15nor would anyone explain anything to me,
00:53:17he said in the interview.
00:53:19He recalled that the object spent periods motionless in the sky
00:53:23before reaching incredible speeds
00:53:25in excess of 7,600 miles an hour.
00:53:27After he returned to the base,
00:53:30Torres was spoken to by a man in civilian clothes
00:53:33who looked like a well-dressed IBM salesman
00:53:36and who advised him that
00:53:37this would be considered highly classified
00:53:40and that he should not discuss it with anybody.
00:53:43Torres added,
00:53:44I shall never forget it.
00:53:46On that night,
00:53:47I was ordered to open fire
00:53:48even before I had taken off.
00:53:50That had never happened before.
00:53:52The release documents contain no official explanation
00:53:56for the mysterious incident
00:53:58which came at the height of the Cold War,
00:54:01a time of extreme tension
00:54:02between the West and the Soviet Union.

00:54:09may have been part of a secret US project

00:54:47that followed the Pearl Harbor attack
00:54:48in December 1941,
00:54:50many Americans believed
00:54:52it was just a matter of time
00:54:53before enemy raids
00:54:55on the continental United States began.
00:54:58Just after 2 a.m. on the 25th of February 1942,
00:55:02a military radar picked up unknown signals
00:55:05about 120 miles west of Los Angeles.
00:55:08Immediately, the city was put on alert,
00:55:10air sirens sounded
00:55:12and a citywide blackout was put into effect.

00:55:19of an unidentified object in the skies.

00:57:07that whatever the Japanese
00:57:08planned for America,
00:57:09it could not have caused
00:57:11as much hysteria
00:57:12as whatever flew over Los Angeles

01:03:45in UFOs,
01:03:46a breathless naval aviator
01:03:48called me one day
01:03:49to report that he was present
01:03:51minutes earlier
01:03:52when a Navy jet
01:03:54landed after being circled
01:03:56by a UFO

01:03:58The Navy did not pursue the issue

01:05:52about the secret UFO program.
01:05:55Elizondo later revealed
01:05:56that Chris Mellon
01:05:57was also in the room
01:05:59for this meeting
01:05:59where Keane was shown
01:06:01the Navy UFO videos
01:06:02on a laptop.
01:06:04Keane was told
01:06:05that the AATIP
01:06:07was a secret government program
01:06:09which began in 2007

01:06:56who had been present,
01:06:57including Harold E. Putoff,
01:06:59an American engineer
01:07:00and parapsychologist
01:07:02who conducted research
01:07:03on extrasensory perception
01:07:05for the CIA,
01:07:07and Christopher Mellon
01:07:08announced that they were
01:07:09joining to the Stars Academy.
01:07:11Soon after the Navy UFO videos

01:08:14and gain insight into
01:08:16the nature and origins of UAPs.

01:08:22analyze and catalog UAPs
01:08:25that could potentially pose
01:08:26a threat to U.S. national security.
01:08:29As DOD had stated previously,
01:08:32the safety of our personnel
01:08:33and security of our operations

01:08:39and the military departments
01:08:41take any incursions
01:08:42by unauthorized aircraft
