Survivors and residents walked through mud-caked streets in Trishuli, stopping to look at damaged buildings and infrastructure on Saturday (Aug 29) as Nepal's death toll from the Aug 26 glacier collapse and flash flood rose to 626.

United Nations' partners estimate at least 20,000 households in Nuwakot and Rasuwa districts may need food assistance and more than 50,000 people require emergency water, sanitation and hygiene support.

02:43Partners working on nutrition estimate that some 17,000 children, 1,500 pregnant and breastfeeding women, and 9,000 adolescents
02:53need immediate nutrition support.
02:55At least 23 schools in those districts will need to be rehabilitated.
