00:21I invite Professor Ramaswamy Nandakofa,
00:24convener and past president of AIMS, to address the gathering.
00:27When technology is combined with human values, organizations get stronger.
00:35This is equally true for educational institutions.
00:39The classroom of the future will not be limited by four walls.
00:45Learning will become continuous, collaborative and technology-enabled.
00:52As it was mentioned, I was about 30 years when my father-in-law said I would be the managing
01:00director of the company,
01:01which was already 30 plus years.
01:03And the company was about 12 branches then and with 100 crores turnover.
01:09But I knew that this company had the potential and it could be leveraged and what it needed is somebody
01:16who is focused and good leadership.
01:18So I imagine this company could achieve 10,000 crores turnover and that it could build a network of 250
01:29branches in the year 1995.
01:32So one needs to have imagination, one needs to dream bigger if you want to achieve something in life.
01:42The objective of management education should not merely be to produce degrees.
01:48It should create ethical decision makers, innovative thinkers, problem solvers, entrepreneurs, nation builders.
01:57The future belongs to people who can think independently, adapt continuously and lead responsibly.
02:07Today's students will become tomorrow's CEOs, entrepreneurs, policy makers and social leaders.
02:14The responsibility of moulding them rests with educational institutions.
02:18What skills will students require 10 years from now rather than what should they study for tomorrow's examination?
02:28The shift in thinking changes everything.
02:34Visionary leadership is therefore not about occupying a position.
02:39It's about possessing the courage to see possibilities where others seek limitations.
02:48Artificial intelligence.
02:49Artificial intelligence can answer questions within seconds.
02:54Information is freely available.
02:57But whereas what the teacher should be teaching is how the student should be thinking,
03:05how they should be analysing, what to question, how to innovate and above all how to make ethical decisions.
03:15We're all focusing a lot on space technologies.
03:19What about the earth that we live on?
03:22All of us have heard and seen the Nepal disaster.
03:26The kind of temperatures that are soaring across Europe where it's going beyond 45 degrees and 50 degrees.
03:33So every lab on this earth should be doing research on how are we going to manage the earth itself.
03:46Every country and every person living on this earth on every square meter should be thinking about protecting their land,
03:57their water, their resources.
03:58There needs to be a global plan.
04:01There needs to be a plan for each village, each town and each city as to how citizens are going
04:08to be responsible towards their natural resources.
04:13Unless there is a comprehensive plan and execution, this earth is not going to last too long from the disasters
04:22that we are seeing.
04:23People like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, people who have trillions of dollars should be working on how to safeguard the
04:32earth rather than just sending spaceships to the sky.
04:43It's important to have human empathy, integrity, emotional intelligence, compassion, trust and ethical judgment.
04:56These are qualities that distinguish great leaders.
04:59Therefore, management institutions should embrace technology while strengthening human values.
05:07The leaders of tomorrow must know how to work with technology, not become dependent on it.
05:14One of the biggest challenges ever has been the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations.
05:22And I think there are two points of our ability to do that.
05:26Less than half added patients will engage with technology.
05:27I'm sorry.
05:29But when he asks you to be teachingDr. способ поп努 we do so that if we are taking his children's
05:30interest.
05:30You
