A major development has been announced for the citizens of Hyderabad as Mayor Kashif Ali Shoro laid the foundation stone for a new sewerage line from the pumping station to the Excise Office.
The new sewerage project aims to improve drainage and reduce the accumulation of rainwater and sewage on roads and streets.
During the event, citizens also raised concerns about water shortages in the area. The mayor said steps are being taken to address the issue permanently.
He further announced that work and the inauguration of the No. 4 Filter Plant are expected in October, after which citizens are expected to receive 24-hour water supply.
Municipal Commissioner Zahoor Ahmed Lakhan said work on the sewerage project would begin soon and that construction quality would not be compromised.
