00:00Hi, my name is Rory and these are my four favourite metal albums.
00:07We are going to start with one of the first albums that I ever bought, which was Evanescence Fallen.
00:14That got me into slightly heavier music.
00:18There are songs on there that can still bring me to tears this day.
00:22Amy Lee is one of the most fantastic songwriters we've ever seen and I'm so glad that they are back.
00:28My next album is going to be Linkin Park Hybrid Theory.
00:32I think that got so many of us into heavier music.
00:36It was a real gateway.
00:38I get to see them on the main stage later today at Download Festival
00:42and I cannot believe they've been around for that long and have that legacy
00:47and are still writing hits that connect with people.
00:51My third favourite album is going to be Architects for those who wish to exist.
00:56I actually got into Architects when I was a bit older because someone that I work with was working with
01:01them.
01:02I used to always think it was a bit heavy for me, Metal Hammer, I'm so sorry.
01:07But then I just started listening, going through the old albums and I just loved it.
01:11I think Sam Carter is amazing as a vocalist.
01:14Also one of the nicest guys out there.
01:16So shout out to him and shout out to Architects.
01:20And my fourth favourite metal album is going to be Bad Omens.
01:25The Death of Peace of Minds.
01:28Being part of like TikTok, I'm sorry to say because I know it's cringe,
01:32but when that song popped off, it was just fucking amazing to see how many people it brought into the
01:36scene.
01:37I was even able to get my partner who doesn't like heavy music into it
01:42and he came to see them with me a couple of years ago.
01:45So shout out to Bad Omens, we fucking love you.
