00:00It's a win here, we'll push them on to seven.
00:07Denfica get this game in Lisbon underway, playing left to right in their famous red and white colours.
00:14Straight away, Samuel Suarez launching it long into the Estoril half.
00:21Suarez probably has got a hat-trick in that match.
00:26That's his header. It's a good one as well to find Sudico.
00:30It's a good one.
00:35Pavledis once more.
00:37Just flipping one through there, couldn't find a teammate.
00:41Just tried to find Barrero inside the area there, unable to do so.
00:47A chance of a break here now for Estoril.
00:50Lucan Sanchez on the far side.
00:53Support there from Lakshmi Gantt.
00:56Straight into the arms of Suarez.
01:02It was an ambitious effort from Andre Estiani.
01:09Waiting in the middle.
01:11Just a fraction too high for Pavledis.
01:17Estiani's shot.
01:19Wasn't too far away.
01:23You can see what he was trying to do, just a curl one into that top corner.
01:27Long way.
01:32Cristiani now taking on Lucan Sanchez.
01:38He managed to get the cross in, but Ferro with the header away.
01:42Oh, it's off the crossbar, so close.
01:45Rescue for Estoril.
01:49Good touch off the back of Stelio Sanchez.
01:52Taking it onto the crossbar.
01:54And now for the first corner of the game.
02:00And the last eight last season as well.
02:04So if you carry the two seasons together, 11 games without a win.
02:08Here's Prestiani.
02:11Ba.
02:14And Arrojo with the shot, and it is always curling wide.
02:24The only time Estoril had a positive result at this venue was in the League Cup, the test of the
02:31Liga a couple years ago.
02:32And Tomás Arrojo there as one of the players who missed a penalty for Benfica that night.
02:43But older than that, it's been plain sailing for Benfica against Estoril traditionally.
02:53In both games last season, Santa Clara, it's Bannacier who's gone off.
03:00After that collision.
03:06What a welcome.
03:11Paulinho.
03:13And went in behind for... Bah!
03:15Just couldn't direct it on target.
03:19The idea was good.
03:25It's hard to stretch for...
03:27Did try and...
03:29Headed towards...
03:32Pavlidis.
03:34Sudikov for Prestiani.
03:36Prestiani's cross again, just a fraction too high for Pavlidis.
03:40Gets the shot away this time though, and breaks the deadlock.
03:44He only needs half a chance.
03:48He's a goal scoring machine.
03:52And Vangelis Pavlidis makes it 1-0.
03:57In hot form.
03:58That is his first opportunity in this game.
04:02Bit of an element of fortune about the way it fell to him from that missed kick and then a
04:07deflection, but that's all he needed.
04:09One turn.
04:11One shot.
04:14And the opening goal.
04:16Off the game.
04:17Benfica won.
04:20It's the real nil.
04:23Unavailable for Benfica tonight.
04:25Through injury, here's Rafa Silva for Pereiro.
04:28Need football again.
04:29Pavlidis, can he finish?
04:30Oh, the goalkeeper's made a good save.
04:32Prestiani's shot.
04:33Pereiro, can he get it away?
04:34No.
04:36Last-ditch defending from Esteril.
04:38It should just about be that, but so close to a second.
04:42Good stop by Rovles there.
04:45Prestiani's effort.
04:49Still the pressure comes.
04:50Bah.
04:53The header at the near post from Rafa Silva is saved this time by Rovles.
04:5936-year-old keeper got down quickly.
05:03So for the Eagles.
05:05The goal coming from Vangelis.
05:08Pavlidis.
05:08Nice fight.
05:14In the Esteril ranks at half-time.
05:17Jordan Holtzgrove, who we just saw and shot there a moment ago,
05:21coming on to replace Dzeka, who we saw pick up a bit of a knock in the first half.
05:29So it's a midfielder on for a midfielder.
05:32Holtzgrove sent before those huge games.
05:36Every game is important, of course, but those two particularly so.
05:41Barrero, that's a neat ball over the top for Pavlidis.
05:45Sudikov continued his run.
05:46Rovles went with his feet.
05:49He was under pressure, the defender, as the ball was played back to him.
05:54And so the pressure continues to mount.
06:00That's a great effort!
06:02Oh, what a goal!
06:09That is an incredible strike from Clement Longley.
06:19Oh, what a moment for him.
06:20His first lead.
06:29That's a thunderbolt from the French run.
06:34And it's a two-goal lead for Benfica.
06:44That's a long lead.
06:48Sudikov stabbing a ball through there to Rafa Silva.
06:51Here's Pavlidis.
06:53It's run through to Prestiani.
06:55And it's a good stop this time by Robles.
06:57The threat is still there.
06:59Dahl's shot squeezing just wide.
07:02It took a little deflection.
07:17I think the Benfica fans feel there's more goals in this game for their team.
07:21That was just the threat to Joel Robles' goal.
07:29Sudikov with the cross.
07:31A header from Pavlidis.
07:32He wasn't marked properly there, Pavlidis.
07:35Left in a lot of space.
07:37Sudikov again.
07:39Orojo's free at the back post.
07:41The right delivery.
07:49Dahl's ball.
07:51Here is Tomás Orojo.
07:53And his shot is blocked out for a corner with the offside flag is up.
08:03He wants the wall to stay big.
08:10Dahl went for the low effort.
08:12Prestiani with the shot.
08:14That's blocked as well.
08:17Benfica still have it.
08:19Dahl once more.
08:22He's managed to produce a cross.
08:24Oh!
08:24The shot from Pavlidis.
08:26Saved by Robles.
08:27So close to Dahl.
08:30A really good cross.
08:32Pavlidis doing well to hit the target.
08:36A good reaction save from Robles.
08:440-0 in the other game by the way.
08:45Braga and Victoria Guimere.
08:50Robles goes ball into the areas.
08:52Easily claimed by Samuel Suarez.
08:55Good commanding goal.
08:58Remember their opening league game.
09:01At the Estadio deluge finished in a 2-2 draw against Academico.
09:06That will be fresh in the minds of the Benfica fans.
09:09Luca Pacquio with the lay-off for Paglina.
09:12The shot was always rising.
09:24It usually delivers a very good ball.
09:28Oh, it came all the way through there too.
09:31Ismael Seyera.
09:32He had fouled anyway, so it's a freak.
09:40Well, the full-time whistle sounds and it's three points for Benfica.
09:46A 2-1 victory which saw the debut of Joao Paglina.
09:50Goals from Vangelis.
09:51Goals from Vangelis.
09:55Goals from Vangelis.
10:00Goals from Vangelis.
10:01Goals from Vangelis.
