00:10officials to arrive was Minister of Defense Wayne Sturge. He welcomed Chief Justice Rani
00:16Burusing and his wife. While over at the President's house, President Christine Kangaloo was greeted
00:21by the members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Mounted Branch, who were then
00:26escorted to the Independence Day Parade. Any type of parade is that Her Excellency is
00:32escorted with Mounted Branch to the parade. And Mounted Branch has a son of deep history
00:41because it dates back to 1851, where the police service were given responsibility for acting
00:47as the country's first postmen and mail carriers. Back at the Savannah, Prime Minister Kamala
00:53Passat-Bissessa and her ministers were arriving at the new venue. And a few minutes later,
00:59the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Christine Kangaloo, arrived at the
01:04Savannah. President Kangaloo is TNT's second female Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,
01:10the first being former President Paula May Weeks. Accompanied by Major Nigel Harris, President
01:17Kangaloo inspected the troops. And as she made her way along the lines, the crowd erupted
01:22in chairs.
01:31Hundreds of spectators enjoyed the spectacle put on by members of the Armed and Unarmed
01:36Forces. The K-9 unit was among those putting their skills on display, while the Fire Service,
01:42Prison Service and the TTPS showcased some of their vehicles and equipment. The Air Guard
01:48provided one aircraft, while the National Helicopter Service also took to the skies with two helicopters
01:54flying over the Savannah.
01:56And the police mounted branch skillfully maneuvered the horses. The parade ended with the National
