00:00The president can bulldoze the east wing, he can bulldoze the west wing, he can burn down the whole
00:05White House. It's not up to him. He doesn't own the White House. He doesn't own federal buildings.
00:10That's up to the representatives of the people. So I haven't read their decision, so I suppose I
00:14shouldn't jump to conclusions. But the fact that four justices didn't see it the same way
00:19suggests to me that the MAGA group is up to their old tricks. The court stood with Congress's power
00:25to control. Has there been a decision since the last minute that construction can go forward?
00:32Oh, the Supreme Court did? I mean, you know, look, Congress is up against
00:43collusive activity between narrow majority on the Supreme Court and the executive branch to deny
00:51clear congressional powers. The Constitution is emphatically clear that Congress controls
00:56federal buildings. If the president can bulldoze the east wing, he can bulldoze the west wing,
01:01he can burn down the whole White House. It's not up to him. He doesn't own the White House. He
01:05doesn't own federal buildings. That's up to the representatives of the people. So I haven't read
01:10their decision, so I suppose I shouldn't jump to conclusions. But the fact that four justices
01:15didn't see it the same way suggests to me that the MAGA group is up to their old tricks.
01:20How do you see this kind of U.S. trade war playing out, especially in light with
01:24President Trump trying to change Lake Ontario, Lake America?
01:28Well, I've been traveling in the northern states. I was in the Adirondacks in New York 21 with Lake
01:34Jendabean. I was in the first district of Michigan with Calais Barr. I've been in the boundary
01:40waters of Minnesota. Donald Trump's support is collapsing across the northern tier of the United
01:46States because rural hospitals are closing. In the first district of Michigan, three OBGYN units
01:54closed. There people can't get health care. The tariffs are a nightmare for small businesses there.
02:00The Canadians are engaged in a boycott against America because of all of Trump's ridiculous,
02:05provocative behavior. And the war has driven up the price of gasoline and diesel. So it is
02:11extremely expensive for all Americans, but especially people in rural areas, to get from
02:16point A to point B. And they've got to drive double the distance to get kids to school and to
02:21get to
02:22the grocery store and to get to work. So I think that Donald Trump is going to have to back
02:28off.
02:29Otherwise, they're going to see a massive and historic political reckoning on November 3rd,
02:35because all they really had going for them were some of the rural districts. And I see the bottom
02:40falling out for the Republicans. And shifting back to this report, really quickly, what kind of legal
02:45recourse can Democrats take if you win back a majority? On what? On the ballroom, on undoing
02:51that decision. Well, we will have the power of the purse and we will make sure that Donald Trump doesn't
02:56destroy any other federal buildings or federal landmarks. And they want to name everything after him.
03:02They want to name Dulles Airport after him. They want to rename the Kennedy Center. I'm willing to
03:06rename April Fool's Day, Donald Trump, April Fool's Day. What do you think about that?
03:10Do you think they should tear down the ballroom once he's out of office?
03:15Well, first of all, I haven't seen the ballroom. I think the law should operate. I think Congress
03:20should decide. Just like Congress named the Kennedy Center after President John F. Kennedy,
03:25and we must stick to that. Congress established the appropriation for the White House, and it's up
03:31to Congress to decide. And it's not up to the president to decide to bulldoze half of the White
03:36House because he wakes up that day thinking it's a good thing to do. This is a deranged situation we're
03:41in.
