00:01happy first day of spring if you are across southern australia and it won't come as much
00:06of a surprise from much of australia that we are expecting to see those very warm temperatures which
00:11you experience in winter spill over into spring so overall we are expecting above average temperatures
00:17for most of the country including the east coast the southeast also the west of the country so it
00:21does mean that we are expecting above average daytime and nighttime temperatures really the
00:26only part of australia which could see below average daytime temperatures is the northeast
00:30tropical coast of queensland from about towns or up towards cairns which could see a few more
00:35showery outbreaks over the next few months and then also in terms of rainfall a bit of a mixed bag
00:40if
00:40you look over the next three months so for parts of the southeast coast including parts of new south
00:44wells victoria tasmania and south australia and all the way across into southwest wa we are expecting
00:50below typical rainfall over the next three months so that will really continue that dry trend which
00:55these areas have seen but quite interestingly despite the fact that we are in el nino we are
01:00expecting to see above average rainfall for much of western and northern australia and that will most
01:05likely have to do with the sea surface temperatures of the indian ocean so overall we are very confident
01:10of seeing a very warm spring conditions in terms of temperatures in terms of rainfall most likely seeing
01:16dry signals across the coastal areas and then weather signals across the northwest of the country
