Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for stronger security, economic, and energy cooperation among members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
Speaking at the SCO, Pezeshkian outlined Iran’s proposals to expand intra-SCO trade and energy cooperation, including the establishment of an SCO bank and an energy consortium.
He also condemned the US and Israeli attacks on Iran as violations of international law, saying Iran had dealt a major defeat to the United States and Israel during the recent war.
Pezeshkian further criticized what he described as repeated US violations of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, saying Washington’s commitment lasted less than two weeks amid excessive demands. He added that Iran would reciprocate if the United States honors its commitments under the MoU.
