00:38consultant Fernando Sarimedo to favor Nasri Asfura and block a vote-by-vote recount.

00:54revealed the plan to rig the election. Then, on January 13, 2026, the Supreme Court of Justice,

01:17For sectors that question his actions, Sarimedo is seen as a figure linked to international political
01:24operations and electoral intervention strategies that extend beyond Honduras' borders. Sergio Rivera,
01:31a university professor and political analyst, describes him as an operator who allegedly served as a liaison
01:37between the National Party and Donald Trump, in addition to directing the Digital Strategy
01:42and Data Center for Asfura's campaign.
01:49Fernando Sarimedo is an international criminal who has managed to get close to three presidential elections,
01:56in which, at Donald Trump's behest, he has effectively interfered through his bot farms,
02:06the manipulation of social media, and electoral fraud.
02:10While allegations of election manipulation remain unresolved,
02:14the case has become mired in an institutional dispute that prevents the public from knowing
02:20what really happened with the disputed votes. Thus, one of Honduras' most controversial electoral processes

03:06In the National Congress, the Libra Caucus attempted to bring the case to the institutional level
03:12through a motion calling on the public prosecutor's office to investigate Fernando Ceramito's actions
03:18during the electoral process in Honduras.
03:21However, the president of the legislature, Tomás Zambrano,
03:25interrupted the proposal and warned that he would not proceed with an initiative that, he argued,
03:31would exceed the powers of Congress.
03:34And in Honduras, it is the responsibility of the public prosecutor's office,
03:38within the framework of its constitutional and legal powers,
03:42to investigate all incidents related to crimes committed in this country.
