The film follows a small demon or soul keeper named Gudo, who guides souls in the liminal realm between death and rebirth. Gudo is tasked by the goddess Mira to help Yuri, a young girl whose untimely death and overwhelming anger threaten to turn her into a destructive monster. The story is a dark fairytale and cross-century tapestry exploring memory, guilt, forgiveness, and emotional release.
