But his opposite number Imran Tahir lauded his entire team for another win.

00:01The Trinbigo Knight Riders have just one win and three losses in the Trinidad leg of the Republic Bank's CPL.
00:08This follows their nine-run loss on the DLS method to Guyana Amazon Warriors on the Independence Day holiday at
00:14the Queen's Park Oval.
00:15With back-to-back losses, it was another disappointing night for Captain Nicholas Puran and his players.
00:21It's tough to obviously lose. We know how T20 cricket goes. We've been struggling this year to put a perfect
00:27game together and get on the right side of the results, such as the nature of T20 cricket.
00:32The Amazon Warriors were smashing the bowlers to all parts of the ground in getting to 185 for 5 from
00:3816 overs.
00:39And pacer Lahiru Kumara went for 55 runs from 3 overs.
00:42Yeah, it's been very challenging for us. We've tried a lot of different bowlers as well. Obviously, Lahiru flying in
00:50yesterday from Sri Lanka and playing today as well, which is a great effort.
00:54But yeah, we've struggled big time when it comes to the fast-bowling department and we've obviously paid some expensive
01:02prices there.
01:02But in saying that again, I mean, it's fine. Guys are getting an opportunity to play and we hope that's
01:08a learning curve for them.
01:09With three games left for TTR, who are currently fifth on the table, it's getting tougher for them. And how
01:15confident is Puran for the remaining matches?
01:18We're very optimistic, to be honest. T20 cricket is really funny. We have three games left. If we could turn
01:24up and win two games and get ourselves into ten points, you never know.
01:28Some results have to go away as well. Other teams are still trying to figure it out as well. So
01:32that puts us in a decent position.
01:33But for now, we just need to focus on ourselves and find a way to win games. And once we
01:38can do that, that's all we can probably hope for, right?
01:42The Amazon Warriors won four in a row, which sees them in second position behind Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
01:49Guyana skipper Imran Tahir said it took a team effort to take them to such a position.
01:54Yeah, look, I think credit goes to everyone, you know, our coaching staff, players. Like I said, you know, we
02:01work really hard. Like I said to you earlier, you know, we had a break, which was very long break.
02:07And, you know, we can drift sometime. You know, Caribbean is a beautiful place. We go, you know, and forget
02:13about our training and stuff. But I think the purpose for us to be here, to enjoy each other's success,
02:20you know, we've got a great team culture.
02:21Tahir also lauded Shimran Hetmayer for his unbeaten 111 in a winning cause. It also happened in the batter's 100th
02:29CPL match.
02:31Tahir is a very special player. I mean, you know, maybe he's not been in a great form in the
02:36last six months, but, you know, the class stays forever. And, you know, the way he came today, he showed
02:42his class. I'm really happy for him. You know, but he's been betting brilliantly. Like I said, even in training,
02:49you know, he's really focusing. He never missed one training session.
02:52TQR play the Falcons on Wednesday at the Queen's Park Oval, while the Amazon Warriors tackle the Jamaica Kingsmen on
02:59Friday at Providence Stadium.
03:00tsm.e. with another one of the most favorite picks out there.
03:03Yeah, this will find .
03:05Yeah, this will find the ball.
