These bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers come out smoky, creamy, spicy, and wrapped in crispy bacon for the kind of BBQ appetizer that disappears fast. The prep is simple: slice the jalapeños lengthwise, scoop out the insides, fill one side with cream cheese, and add strawberry jam to the other for a sweet heat twist. Then the halves are pressed back together, wrapped with bacon, and seasoned with barbecue rub before hitting the grill.

The cook is done at 350 degrees on a Masterbuilt autoignite, with the poppers placed directly on the rack until the bacon turns crisp. The video also shares practical tips like using bigger jalapeños, handling the peppers carefully, and adjusting cook time depending on the thickness of the bacon. It’s a straightforward grilled appetizer recipe with a bold flavor payoff and a little backyard cooking chaos along the way.

Perfect for game day snacks, backyard BBQs, party appetizers, and anyone searching for bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers, grilled poppers, smoker appetizers, or easy jalapeño recipes. If you enjoy spicy cream cheese poppers, BBQ side dishes, and crispy bacon recipes, this is a simple grill or smoker recipe worth saving.

00:00Guys, I forgot to turn on my microphone when I was recording, but I'm still going to teach you how
00:03to cook these badass strawberry jalapeno bacon wrap poppers.
00:07Let's freaking go.
00:09Guys, hang tight with me. I promise this recipe is going to be worth it.
00:12The first thing you're going to need is some big ass jalapenos.
00:15I got these big ass guys at a local market, but the bigger the better, right?
00:19The more you can jam down inside of them.
00:22Now we're just going to cut these long ways right down the middle, as close to the middle as you
00:26can.
00:26It doesn't have to be perfect.
00:32Now grab your favorite or least favorite spoon.
00:35It doesn't really matter.
00:36Just grab a spoon and scoop out the insides of your jalapenos.
00:39We want to kind of create like a hollowed out husk there that we can really jam the good stuff
00:43in.
00:44You know what I'm saying?
00:45Alternatively, you can keep these seeds and mix them back in with your cream cheese here later if you want
00:49to up the spice level.
00:51Also, don't forget to wash your hands when you take your gloves off and handle stuff.
00:55Move peppers around before you go to the restroom.
00:57Or else you're going to be in quite the situation.
01:00I know, because it happened to me.
01:05Now we're going to take our spoon and some cream cheese and we're going to fill one half of this
01:10jalapeno with cream cheese.
01:11It's really pretty simple.
01:13You just want to kind of get it in there as smooth as possible and as even as possible.
01:20All right, now guys, you're going to get to the other side of that jalapeno.
01:23You want to stuff this side with strawberry jam.
01:26Trust me on this.
01:27It's going to give it kind of like a bronco berry flavor like from Arby's, which we all know is
01:31the best thing that Arby's makes.
01:32Aside from the turkey gyro, which is also fire.
01:35Don't hate on Arby's, guys.
01:37Go and frigging eat the gyro and get some bronco berry sauce and eat it.
01:41I don't know why I'm shilling Arby's.
01:42I'm totally not getting paid for that.
01:45Yeah, dude, just put strawberry jam in here.
01:47It's that simple.
01:48You can put any flavor you want.
01:49Whatever tickles your fancy, so to speak.
01:51But make sure that you hit all the extra sides there.
01:56Now that we're done with that, we're going to do the most fun part, which is reconstructing our jalapenos.
02:01You're just going to put the halves together as well as you can.
02:04And then you're going to wrap it in the most delicious, delectable bacon that you can find.
02:08We're going to use two slices of bacon for each one of these because it's very thick bacon, so it's
02:13not stretching over the whole thing.
02:14This is definitely going to change the cook time for me.
02:17So depending on the type of bacon you use, it's going to change how fast this cooks for you.
02:22So be mindful of that when watching this video.
02:26Do me a favor.
02:27Hit that like and subscribe.
02:28The final step is to season your poppers.
02:32I'm using Skull & Mortar's barbecue rub.
02:35You can use whatever barbecue rub you like.
02:37Of course, it's my favorite.
02:39But just give it a light dusting here.
02:40Nothing too out of control.
02:42Now I've got my Masterbuilt Auto Ignite set at 350 degrees.
02:45I'm putting the rack directly down.
02:47These are done when the bacon is crisp.
02:49Now that ours are complete, we're going to cut one in half.
02:51And just kidding, don't cut it in half because our strawberries just shot out.
02:57We're going to let these cool down for a little bit and then we're going to come back to it.
03:00Now it's time to taste it.
03:01Let's give it a bite.
03:02And I'm telling you right now, guys, these things are so good.
03:05But the inside is hot as molten lava.
03:07If you're not careful, you will destroy the inside of your mouth with both pleasure and pain at the same
03:13time.
03:13If you watch this video and there's something about it you liked, despite the fact that I screwed up the
03:18audio, go to skullandmortar.com, hit that like, hit that subscribe, leave a comment down below, spam the comments with
03:24something.
03:25Tell me, you know, use your mic right, stupid.
03:28Spam the comments with that.
03:29That's totally fine.
03:30But we'll be back here soon with a brand new recipe.
03:34And don't forget to check me out on Masterbuilt's channel on Flavors of the Fire.
