Tenby's ongoing mobile phone coverage woes receive a boost!

Has there been a breakthrough in restoring the mobile phone signal in and around Tenby?
South Pembrokeshire MP Henry Tufnell who has been putting pressure on phone companies over the past few months, along with members of the community, has shared an update that a new mast is to be installed on the outskirts of the seaside town, in neighbouring coastal village Penally.
“Phone signal to be restored in Tenby! We did it! BT has finally agreed to install a new mast in Strawberry Lane.,” he shared.
“This comes after months of community pressure, with so many of you contacting BT directly and completing my phone signal survey.
“This is the result we have been fighting for, though it has taken four months to get here.
“Going through an entire summer without adequate signal is completely unacceptable, so I will be holding BT to account over why it has taken so long to reach this decision,” continued the MP, stating he would share an update as soon as exact installation dates are confirmed.
However, there still appears to be no sign of full telecom repair works taking place to a 5G mast at Slippery Back/Old Narberth Road in Tenby with a spokesperson for EE confirming last month that there were still access issues at that site. Works were due to take place back in May ahead of the summer season.
Mobile signal in the seaside town has tended to be generally functional during the winter period - but can often suffer from significant capacity issues during peak summer months, often leading to slow data or failed calls, with signal strength struggling due to the high influx of visitors.
